No!! That little kitten would become dehydrated and hungry. How often does he/she nurse? The length of time between feedings is as long as the kitten can be away from his/her mother, and then only if it's an EMERGENCY. The kitten needs the mother's presence to feel safe and happy. You'll just add stress if you remove the kitten from the mother. Don't do it.

By three weeks, the kitten should be trying to eat some food on its own. That's too young for it to leave its mother completely without affecting its growth, but for one day, even though it will be very hungry it should be alright. Are you planning to take the kitten away for some reason? If so, the kitten should have a chance to nurse right before it leaves and right after it gets back, and make sure it has plenty to drink while it is away from the mother. It may try canned cat food or kibble soaked in milk. Cow's milk should be introduced carefully. Watch the kitten to be sure it's not getting diaharrea from the change. That will cause it to become dehydrated and may irritate the insides of the intestines.

not unless you go to petco or petsmart and buy special formula designed for kittens. its going to scream once it gets hungry, not to mention the mom cat will probably go crazy looking for her kitten.. the only reason that would be necessary is to take it to the vet, in which case you could just take the mom and the kittens in a pet taxi.

No. Im sure it could survive, but it is very dangerous and shouldnt be done. A kitten that young needs to by its mother at all times.

I'm sure it would survive, but I wouldn't recommend it. It would be like taking a breastfeeding 1 month old baby away from its mother for a day. How would it eat?
