She's an indoor cat, got out one night and has been paying for it, trust me! I've tried all the powders and dips and shampoos... they're still after her!

You HAVE to get some frontline or advantage. While at the vet getting that ask them for a capstar pill. That will kill every flea on her in 30 minutes and last for 24 hours. The fleas are in your house now. They live in carpet, drapes, chairs, etc.. Fleas are heat seekers so just because you don't have them on you does not mean they are not in your house. The cats temp is 4 degrees higher than yours. If you get these products it should take care of the problem within a week. If not get some borax and sprinkle it all over the carper. Vaccum first. Brush it into the carpet with a broom. let sit 24 hours. Vacuum up. All fleas will be dead within 5 days. They will get active at first to get out of the carpet. But if your cat only went out once and you don't have any pets that go in and out your problem shouldn't be that bad. As for checking for fleas on the cat you can either flea comb, or set the cat on a white towel and brush it well. If you see little black flecks then that is flea dirt. Keep in mind just because you kill the fleas the cat may still have flea dirt on it until you brush it out, or bathe the cat. Good luck.

I hope you know that fleas are pretty much like human head lice, you have to treat your whole house and yard. They say to plant Marigolds and Chrysanthemums in your yard, which contain natural insecticides that repel fleas.
To check to see if any fleas are still on your pet, check around the base of your pet's tail and on his belly. Look for small dark pepper-like specks. If the dirt turns red when water is added, you've still got fleas.
Choose treatments that contain IRGs ( insect growth regulators), which interrupt a flea's life cycle. Flea eggs hatch every 21 days which makes repeated treatment necessary.
Call your vet and ask her about the " injection program " they have for flea control for pets. It usually a great program.

take your pet to the vet where she can get a bath (to prevent fleas from bothering her). While she is at the vets fog (with Raid foggers) your home. Air out the home when you get back and run the vacuum and wipe off all smooth surfaces and clean up the places where you will eat and where your pet will eat (and wash her bowls).
Be sure to read the directions on the fogger so as not to asphixiate yourelf.
When the bath stuff wears off then use frontline on her.
This should clear up your problem..

Honey, you (rather, your cat) need Revolution! It's a tiny vial of clear liquid that is squirted on the back of your kitty's neck, and any flea that bites her will be a goner. It lasts for an entire month. Your cat will be flea-free within 24 of application. You get it at your vet's office: believe me, it works like a charm :)

You dont indoor our outdoor cats can both get fleas though its ledd likely for an indoor cat. On my cats I find flea stuff at a local pet store and am sure to put it on my cas once a month. Killing there flease and tics instantly.

K9ResQ has it right. If you've done a thorough job cleaning etc., one Capstar (kills the adults almost immediately), and Frontline Plus for a few months will eliminate the problem. Just be sure that carpet has been bombed & vacuum frequently (eggs can live up to a year otherwise).

Agreed, EVERYTHING needs to be cleaned. You may want to bomb your house. Because if the fleas are in the home, it won't matter how many baths you give her, the fleas in the carpet/furniture will just jump on when they see her.

Well, one sign is that the cat died from the overuse of flea poison that caused seizures!
Other sign: the cat lived, but the circus is bankrupt!

turn her over and blow on her tummy if there are still fleas you will see them run after you blow...dont overdo it on the flea stuff i used drops and a flea collar on mine and she had seizures from over medicated for fleas use one or the other and stay away from hartz products they are pure poison go to the vet and get advantage or frontline
