It can take some time, I would get the male neutered though or he may start spraying in the house to mark his territory. It is always much easier to put cats together when they are kittens, but adults can be introduced to eachother. I would keep them seperate for a few days. let them get used to the smell of the other cat, and make sure you have to seperate little boxes, and food and water dishes. If they get really hissy with eachother, jsut supervise, most of the time it's more talk than action. If they do fight, seperate them for a while and try again a little later.

Yes, I think they can though it may take a little time. We had a 1 yr. old male cat for about 6 months then decided to adopt another just a few days ago (female this time). At first our male was quite upset and they fought for a few hours. But just a few days later the are grooming one another, playing together, and getting along great! (They are both fixed also)

Yes, it can work out. They'll fight, hiss, and swat at each other for a little while, but it shouldn't be too bad. Worst case scenario; they'll merely tolerate each others' presence instead of being buddies.

Our male was pissed at us all weekend when we brought our female home last week, but he eventually got used to her. He started cleaning her, she started cleaning back....and then he wasn't mad at us anymore. They're buddies now. It only took 4 days, but I've heard it can take longer.

The only thing I'd be concerned about is the fact that the male isn't neutered. He may try mounting her, so keep an eye on him. I'm sure she'll dissuade him (especially if she has claws), but males can be pretty fiesty when it comes to mating....and I'm sure you don't want them tearing the living hell out of each other.

Good luck!

Cats take a lengthy time period to regulate, yet they seem a lot more effective than dogs ablout putting the guidelines for the different. Cats are not any more %. animals so it isn't unusual in the journey that they not in any respect play mutually and sllep mutually. Usuallty the more effective dominate cat will search for a larger spot, like on a chair, again of the settee. keep the nutrients and water dishes aside ascertain there are 2 of each and every. also, i desire Gomez is totally vaccinated incase Lurch isn't. No bathes both it really is a few loopy suggestion I have not in any respect heard! you need to desire an ER visit your self!

We have a male cat not fixed, and a fixed female cat, and they hate one another. The female is older, so she hisses at the male, who tries to bother her all the time. Of course, with every cat, it's all about the cat's personality.

if you introduce them slowly to each other, but all at once ,yes they can get along nicely,b3st to have the older one first then couple days later introduce the younger but for short periods at a time, this may mean keeping them in seperate rooms for few days but well worth it,that way they shouldnt fight over teritory, plus you can help the situation by feeding them in turn, first one in last so it gets to know it not top of the psck so to speak.

Try getting the male neutered. That might cure a lot of problems right there.

They will probably get along after about a month of fighting over domination. For that month they need to be monitored.

The male will try to hump the female even though she has been fixed. they may be able to get along, the only why to know is to try it.
