I've heard that they need to get used to the smell of each other. Like if you brush one, let the other smell the brush & get used to the smell of the other cat. And try to put it on the other cat's scent on them.
Good Luck!

Make a "safe room" for the new cat and let the old cat get used to the smell of the new one from under the door. At times, put the new cat in a different room and allow the old cat to sniff around the "safe room". Only allow them to play "paws" under the door at first. Do this for about a week. There will be some hissing and growling, but that is normal as they are territorial creatures. After a week, put the new cat in a carrier and let the old cat approach. Don't yell or get mad if either of them hiss or growl. If one of the cats attacks have a squirt bottle ready to squirt the kitty. You don't want aggression. This whole process will take awhile, but you will be happy that you were patient. We just went through this introducing our new male to our two females. Now, they play together and the confrontations are few. It took months though. Once you don't see any aggression, let them interact, but always supervise....especially since the smaller female has no claws. If there is a major confrontation or fight you will have to go back to square one. We did it a couple of times and it was worth it. Now we have three happy kitties. Good luck!

Have someone the old cat does not recognize as family carry Missy in. Keep one of the cats closed up for a while as they get used to eachother's scents.
There is going to be a bit of spatting as the two cats settle territorial and hiearchal issues: That is normal. Don't interfere unless you see a real danger. This will continue for about two weeks or perhaps a bit longer. Make sure the old cat gets a lot of extra attention so he won't feel he's being betrayed.
Good luck!

Declawed and clawed cats can be just fine together. There is seldom if ever a case where the clawed cat will use that "advantage" in a squabble with the declawed one.
They are just hissing and posturing and will work out their relationship problems with time.
You can go to www:littlebigcat.com and read Jackson Galaxy's article titled "Cat to Cat Introductions". It covers the suggestions you will read here and it is complete and has them all in one space.
Also consider getting some of Dr. Jean Hovfe's spirit essences. I remember Peacemaker and New Beginnings were mentioned in the article. They are very inexpensive and easy to use. Directions come with the bottle of essence. They can really help make the adjustment process move along more smoothly and lead to a lasting peaceful relationship between the cats.

Oh boy, too adult cats one declawed. Thats hard. You need to keep them seperated. If you have a Very large dog crate you could put one in there and let them sit in the same room that way until they can accept each other. Bummer, I hate to say it but you may have to find another home for the new one.

If you have a glass door in your house put one on one side and the other on the other side. let them see each other and see how that goes. If you don't then you could put one in a crate and the other on the outside of the crate. See how that goes.
