this may soubds cruel but i had to do it...u have to just put water in the saucer and leave it. dont give her any more formula. When she gets thirsty enough....her instincts will tell her to drink the water. i did it with my kitten and it worked and she didnt get sick or anything.

I have never done this and I would start diluting the milk very gradually, maybe over two weeks. Just keep reducing the amount of the milk and increasing the amount of water.
Be sure she has filtered water. I can smell the chlorine when I run a faucet here. I use a Brita water filter for water to fill the cats' bowls, make my coffee, cooking rice etc.

Mine was bottle fed. What I did with him was to add a little more water to his saucer of formula every time I fed him until gradually he took nothing but water. It took me about a week. I did the same thing weaning him on dry food.

Leave some FRESH water with your kitten all the time in a bowl that she can't tip over. This way she will always have something there even if the formula is not. She will eventually get the idea.

All you have to do is leave water out for the cat instead of milk and the kitten will drink when it gets thirsty. Animals are not stupid they know when their bodys need to drink so, therefore if you just leave water out for the kitten to drink then he/she will drink when it gets thirsty. Never hit or spank your animal, all they need is lots of love and attention and they will listen to you.

get a drink well pet fountain. my cats LOVE it, they barely drank anything out of a regular dish, but anytime a sink would turn on a half a second later they would be drinking from it so we decided to get a pet fountain and it is awsome!!

put water down. When see get thirsty enough she will drink. just like changing from wet cat food when her teeth are in to dry that is better for her. she will eat and drink when she is hungry/thristy enough.

Cats LOVE fresh water, so change it often or invest in one of those self-pouring dishes. Sometimes, they just need time to get used to it. I found my cat won't drink from any dish that pushes on his whiskers, so try a larger dish!
