How do we know that a cat has 9 lives? Or is it just a fugure of speech? Or is it true that if a cat loses one life and it raise from the grave again and again 8 more times?

i really think its cruel because the catonly has two defence mehanisms: is teeth (to bite) and is claws. And to top that off, cats only bite when all else fails so they usualy really rely on their claws. I have also heard that after operation, some cats are litteraly bouncing of the walls because it hurts so much (it the equivalent of amputating us to the furst joints of our fingers).

One has heard it said many times, "there is more than one way to skin a cat", but try as one might, one cannot think how to go about it. What ways can one skin a cat? Is one best to kill it first to save being ripped to f*****g shreds on one's hands, arms, head and upper body? Or would it suffice to have the beasts teeth and claws removed beforehand? Is it best to start with the head and work one's way backwards towards the tail, or make the first incision on the underbelly and peel upwards around the legs? What instruments should one use? Will there be a lot of blood? Should one perform the operation indoors or out? And what should one do with the pathetic beast afterwards? Veterinary advice would be splendid. Please help, one is rather perplexed. Thank you in advance.

I heard at the vets office that giving brewers yeast tablets stops the shedding. The tablets are bought at Pet Co or Pet smart and go by the animals weight.

Does anyone have any advise on this process: what agencies are looking for, what traits a healthy kitten will display, etc.

Manx cats and kittens have no tail or if any it is a tuft of fur or a short nub of bone covered in fur. He is healthy and playful, and fixed. But tho he has only fur ( he is a short hair) he has litter and poo stuck on him. Bathing stops it, but " sticky butt" comes right back. Shaving what little fur he has back there isn't helping either. I am sure he is miserable, especially when he has to go and the flow is already somewhat blocked to start with. (It pulls the fur when he goes.) Got any suggestions???? Please don't say get rid of him he is a companion/ health aid to us. He helps with blood pressure and stress better than medications do. He is very important to us, as we seem to be to him. He knows when we are stressed and will come and play or sit on our laps or play crazily with the toy mice we bought him, causing us to laugh til we cry. He even chases his (no tail) for us, till he is dizzy and can't walk straight. Please, anyone got any advice?

My wife and I have 3 cats, and one of them recently had a UTI. After two cycles of penicillin, the vet retested him, and said he was cured. She then gave us prozac to help with the re-training stage.

Everything seemed ok for a while, but he has recently started to go to the bathroom again in places other than his litterbox (such as blankets, shoes, or anything else that may be left on the floor).

We are at our wits end and are about to lock him in the bathroom (because of the tile floor)with his food, water, pillow, and litterbox. What else can we do to re-train him to start using his box again?

I just want to clear things up, because some ppl have taken what i have said the wrong !!!
I would just like to thank the positive response's i have had from certain ppl, very much appreiciated,

ok I Have 2 rescue cats, 1 abandoned stray which was pregnant and too far gone to do anything about, i also have homes for all all of them, i also resue bearded dragons and snakes, that is what i do so i dont apprieciate being called an irresponsible pet owner, i was only asking the question about the cat getting pregnant again after having kittens because i have NEVER had a pregnant cat b4, and i wanted to know how soon i could get her spayed after she had her kittens, so hope this does clear a few things up for ppl, and this doesnt make me a bad pet owner.

I have a cat her name is Iris, I don't think of her as a pet she's more like a best friend or my baby, Is that weird?
I would like to hear what you have to say about your cat, whoever has the best story and it has to be true, gets 10 points.
:-)
