The best way to get cat pee-which can stay on as long as skunk odor-out of clothing is to soak the item in cold water and then wash the item with WOOLITE. That will remove the odor and make it smell heavenly.
I would also spray it down with Frebreeze the day before you are going to wash it and sit it outside overnight.

Even if you wash it a million times and the smell seems to go away... on a hot day you may notice it come back. We had a cat that had issues with peeing on our things and we'd wash them in bleach if it was a white item, add baking soda to the water for other colors in place of the bleach. Vinegar wouldnt hurt it either. good luck, but I would suggest throwing it out.

The best idea is to prevent the cat from going there in the first place! But otherwise, throw the bag in the wash and see what happens. Good luck bro.

My cat use to do that when I first got her I would first advise just getting rid of it cause she peed on it for a reason (i.e my cat peed on my dirty sock I wore socks to bed and she slept next to my feet so when she smelled them elsewhere she needed to claim her territory) but to get smell out wash it with some rubbing alcohol

Try sprinkling baking soda inside the duffel bag, zip up and close it overnight. It should help! May have to try this several times with fresh baking soda each time.

Wash it or even just soak it in water with lots of ammonia. As bad as ammonia smells it will freshen up anything that it is used on.

Add some plain amonia to the wash water. This should take care of it. About 1 cup to the load.
