This is not an attack on people who have more than 2 pets but I'm just wondering why? As you own more pets, cost goes up for litter and food, there's more poop and cleaning of the poop, as well as increase medical cost. We have one kitten and he's a bundle of joy but he's more than enough for us. I can understand having two to keep your kittens from being lonely but why do you want to own more than that (although it is better that they live with you than be eithanized, thank you btw)? Just curious.

Got your attention, didn't it? Anyway, why do cats attack toilet paper so viciously? My cat has destroyed four rolls this week.

When she showed up on my door at midnight, she was big and had hard lumps and I thought she was pregnant. Now she is eating and thinner, but still sometimes I think I feel lumps, like kittens. This cat is only about 10 months old I would think. How to know if she is pregnant?

I picked up a stray and have had her for 2 days. No-one has claimed her and i think she may be pregnant. She is so affectionate and calm and tame. We decided to keep her and now she wants outside. Will she come back if we let her? Is it mean to keep her in when she wants out?

My 16yr old Tom cat has been on lactuose for almost 2yrs now as he gets very constipated. But recently his medication is failing him. He has cost an absolute fortune as he has a few more medical problems. I would like to ask if anyone has ever given their cat any other constipation remedy, eg milk of magnesia? on the advice of their vet only. He has had badly congested bowels twice in the past and it costs almost £100 a time to have the vet knock him out and relieve him. Please help. If I don't find some other form of medication. I know by the end of the week, he will have to have another vet visit.

Now i have an 11 year collie male and a 3 year old cat. My dog does really play because he's so old. My cat is playful and likes to play rough, like pouncing, play biting(no hard), chasing. I was wondering if i should get a new kitten for her to play with. Also if i do should i a boy or girl(now my cats a female), what breed. Thanks!!

WHAT SHOULD I NAME MY CAT?

I was at my church picnic yesterday when some of the kids found a kitten. She appears to only be about a week and a half old. My mother and I took it to an emergency vet and she appears to be a very strong and healthy kitten. Although we don't need any more cats (we already have seven) we fell in love with her and are committed to taking care of and keeping her.

Truly this is a miracle kitty. The vet said the kitten appeared to have been abandoned for a few days. The day before yesterday, it rained really bad in our city, so I know she must have gotten rained on. She also had an open wound in her hear which attracted maggots, but we got her all cleaned up.

What should we name this miracle kitty?

My family pet is a severe dieabetic. Today, more issues have surfaced. She is only 5 years old. Every 4 months I seem to be rushing her to the emergency room at the vet. This morning I was asked what I wanted to do......
Of course I say, give her what ever she needs.
I figure, if she doesn't give up, I can't either.
Is that the right thing to do - or am I being selfish.

I just got a cat about 1 1/2 to 2 months ago. When we first got her, she had a cold that she caught from the other cats in the shelter and after about a week, she developed diarehha. We took her to the vet and he chalked it down to her being sick and/or the antibiotics. He prescribed her something to help her with it but all it did was make her stool more of a pudding-like consistency rather than watery. We took her to the vet again and he said to just buy Science Diet and it would sort her out (yeah right) We finally wound up complaining to the Humane society and their vet took a look at her and said that we just need to find the right food for her. Well, it's been 3 weeks since we did that and the cat still has diaherra. I have no clue what else to do now and I'm getting frustrated with the smell and the fact that the cat keeps stepping in it so I have to keep giving her mini-baths. We've already had her checked for parasites, she's ok there...just need help :(

We have alarge male calico that is a strictly indoor cat. He's three years old and has been living with us for a year. In the last week, he has kept us awake with his incessant yowling every night. He's neutered and has never caused us problems before, we have checked the obvious things like food/water/litter box and everything is fine. I have also checked him for injury and there doesn't appear to be any at all...we're at our wits end, and it's really starting to cause a problem...what can we do?

Look, i'm sorry for all the questions on cats, but should I get my kitten neutered? Will it make any changes in his personality? Will he be less affectionate?

My cat gave birth to kittens 3 weeks ago. After handling them, you are left with a really strong smell on your hands, its not like a normal "pet" smell, but very strong. We make sure we wash our hands before and after holding them, but why do they smell like this?

I have a black traditional "doll-faced" persian who has black spots inside his mouth (not on the tongue but along the roof on his mouth and gumline of the bottom teeth).

I've had him since he was 6 months old and he's 3 years old now, but the black spots have always been there. They don't seem to cause him any pain or problems and he seems perfectly happy. He's fine when he eats hard or crunchy food as well.

His teeth are white and clean, and don't rock around or look as if they're about to fall out or anything. Is this a sign of gum disease or is it just a birthmark?

By the way he has bad breath and I brush his teeth regularly. It'd be great if you guys could help me out. Thanks.
