WHAT SHOULD I NAME MY CAT?
I was at my church picnic yesterday when some of the kids found a kitten. She appears to only be about a week and a half old. My mother and I took it to an emergency vet and she appears to be a very strong and healthy kitten. Although we don't need any more cats (we already have seven) we fell in love with her and are committed to taking care of and keeping her.
Truly this is a miracle kitty. The vet said the kitten appeared to have been abandoned for a few days. The day before yesterday, it rained really bad in our city, so I know she must have gotten rained on. She also had an open wound in her hear which attracted maggots, but we got her all cleaned up.
What should we name this miracle kitty?

Miracle sounds like the perfect name for her. Other names could be Gracie, Faith, Angel, and Precious. Thank you for taking the kitten in and giving it a home.

you shouldnt name her anything
it is ilegal to keep a kitten you find just like that - you must report finding it to the local SPCA or what ever shelter you have in your area.. check lost and found ads in the paper to.. if no body reports loosing a cat (in most areas they give you 2 weeks) then you can conisder keeping it and naming it... etc.. BUT other wise you could be charged with theft in the rare event somebody finds you with a kitten they reported loosing.... (your "found" report covers you in case of this happening you wouldnt be charged)
she might not have been abandoned.. she might have got out by mistake or somebody took her from the owner as a prank or what ever...
if you keep her make sure you spay her at 6 months.. smart of you to take her to a vet though.. I hope it all workds out...name her "LUCKY Miss M" ( M for miracle)

That reminded me of some friends who found a nice kitty under some similar circumstances and they named it LUCKY
By the way.. wouldn't it be GREAT if we had more people like you and your mother in this world who cared for animals as you obviously do.

We found an abandoned cat under a bush. She was a wonderful pet who lived to be 18 years old. We named her Tuffy because she was such a tough little cat.

I would name her DELIVERENCE because apparently she was delivered to from above as apparently you were the perfect soul she needed to be cured and cared for. Most other people woulod have either ignored her, killed her, or sent her to the pound to be put to sleep. I am certain she has a purpose and will only enrich your lilfe and bring blessings to your family.
