Yes, but a mix breed siamese is also a wonderfull cat. I have also inherited a siamese mixed with a red tabby, he gets along jsst fine with my female tabby. His eyes are greenish with some blue hue. You did the right thing by taking him in to your home. Siameses are very affectionnate. It probably eases his greif (over his late human) that he found a loving family. You wont regret it. They are the most intelligent cats.
Once he adapts, be prepared for strange behaviours tough...
Siamese are something else all right... That only will make him more endearing to you.
Good luck.

I have a half breed siamese cat and he has greeny/yellow colored eyes... Apart from being run over by a car at a young age that has resulted in him having arthritus He has been a joy and still amazes us with his personality (such as today he was chasing a dog down the street then looked at our other cat as if to say...ANd that is how it is done!) Our 1/2 breed siamese will be 13 years old this comming november

A pure bred Siamese would have blue eyes to "conform to breed standard" www.cfa.org However many lovely cats are non-conformists. Thank you for taking this cat. Siamese, even part Siamese, are very "people" cats and she would not have liked being in a cage away from human contact.

Not sure but I think it's awesome that you have taken it in. It's sad to go to the pet stores or Humane Society and see all the 7 and 8 year old cats who have been lost to the passing of their owner or just outright abandoned. I don't always understand the logic of it either, like if my Grandmother passed away I would do what I could to take her animal (or animals) in or find them homes so they wouldn't be destroyed because I would know that she loved them dearly and would want them to live out their lives. That may seem over the top to most people but that's the way I feel about it. At any rate not too many people want to adopt the older cats, you likely saved it's life and are an excellent person in my books. :)

That is a very odd combination of traits! Almost all of the cats that I've seen that have any Siamese traits are always blue eyed.
Wow! It sounds like you have the sweetest mix of them all. I'm so happy that you saved her and that she has a happy home with you and your other babies.

Hi Molly...yes only a purbred Siamese will have blue eyes so your kitty is a mix breed, I'm sure she's just a treasure just the same.

Then she isn't pure Siamese, but you can love her anyway. If she isn't spayed get that done and make certain she is current on all her shots and get her dewormed so you won't get your other animals infected. Good luck. And thanks for keeping one more animal out of the pound!
