My nine-month old's teeth look a little funny, almost like he has duplicate teeth.

A cat has 26 baby teeth which they get at 4 weeks of age and 30 permanent teeth which start coming in at 11 weeks. At 30 weeks, (little over 6mo.) cat should have all adult teeth.
By now your cat should have lost all his baby teeth and have the adult teeth. Is he eating his food OK? If he does not seem to have pain, I would let it go and ask at the next vet visit. If he is in pain, take to vet. There is no such thing as "braces" for cats with tooth problems but if some of the baby teeth didn't fall out, the vet may pull them.

Yes, they do. The "double teeth" thing is probably his fang teeth. When the adult teeth start to come in, they push the baby teeth out of the gums. For a while, it looks like they have 2 fang teeth, one behind the other. This is totally normal. If they stay that way, or it seems to cause a problem with the cats eating habits, take him to a vet.

uuuuuuuuummmmmmmmm...Yes on the Baby teeth, but I am wondering if the cat possibly has a genetic tooth disorder, depending what U mean by duplicate. Overlapping teeth, e.g.... are not normal, in which case U mite want to check with a vet.

ALSO... I am wondering about the AGE of your cat with tooth loss..read this:

Kittens lose their baby teeth!! At three to four months the incisors erupt. Then at four to six months, they lose their canines, premolars and molars. By the time they are seven months old, their adult teeth are fully developed. This is one of the ways a vet (or you) can tell the age of a kitten.

Good Luck!! : )

i've got by no skill declawed a cat. i think of this is merciless. the reason i'm answering this question although, is with the help of the fact I actually have a declawed cat. His call is Gizmo. He got here to my front door sometime, starving, shrink up and bloody. I took him to the vet top away only to discover that he became into declawed. the owner of this cat the two enable it exterior or reported "i will declaw him because of the fact he's going to be an indoor cat only" and he escaped. The undesirable guy became into truthfully starving because of the fact he ought to somewhat hunt for foodstuff on the same time as he became into exterior and he additionally couldnt look after himself against different animals which might clarify why he became into all shrink up and bloody. Gizmo is now an indoor cat & nicely fed! he's one among the suitable cat's i've got ever had. besides the certainty that, he does bite stressful (because of the fact he has no incorrect thank you to look after himself) and now and then he will pee around the abode because of the fact it hurts his paws to dig in the clutter. yet i admire him and can by no skill ever dream of removing him. those are in basic terms some rationalization why I wouldnt declaw. the different reasons are because of the actual and psychological outcomes that it has on the cat.
