i have had my cat since she was a kitten. ever since she was a kitten she has been really mean. she is alomost nine now and still so mean. i cant pet her for more then a couple times without being bitten or scratched, i cant walk by her if she is lying down on the floor because she will attack my feet. she hisses, bites scratches and she has been like this since she was a kitten. she is never scared of anything she attacks my dog and all other dogs. she walks around the neighborhood and tries to attack all the dogs through the fences. i love her to death still. her meaness adds to her personality and i would never want to change her. she is happy and very spoiled and well taken care of. does anyone else have a cat like this? are some cats just born mean? the only time she is sweet and cuddly and nice is when i have food or when im in the kitchen. she is all black and people call her the cat from hell. but i love her.

explain why you love cats and hate dogs! - i hate dogs cause they smell, sniff ur private, lick u in da face, run around 2 much, look ugly, get crap all over the place, eat their crap, etc. I HATE DOGS AND CATS SHOULD RULE THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!! -
in all cat and dog movies the cats always lose and dogs always win and i think it sucks!

I recently moved from Oklahoma to New York. I had to leave my 2 year old cat in Oklahoma because my pet movers cancelled on me after I had moved here (long story, but he's fine... lives with my parents and their 2 cats). I really want to adopt a cat up here, but I'm not sure what to get. Our apartment is small (1 bedroom) and I don't want more than 1 pet. I think kittens are cute, but I like cats as well. Would a cat or kitten be better? I need one that'll be fine being alone during the day (the cat/kitten will have toys and things of that nature) because we're gone at work during the day and I don't want to come home to torn up furniture, yet I don't believe in declawing either. If you've ever adopted an older cat, how did the cat adjust to living in a new place? Any suggestions on what cat Ii should get would be great! I already am settled on the cat or kitten being a male, I just don't know what age I should go for...???

My cat of 6 years recently started scratching his neck so much that he is getting scabs all around his neck. I moved to a new town not far from where I was in June and it seems to be doing it since then. However, he is a 97% indoor cat.. Only goes out when he sneaks out. The only thing different is there are a lot of dogs barking at my nieghbors house.. I have a dog, but not a big barker and the cat and dog get along fine... I gave him a bath last night and that only seemed to make it worse!!!! I have no idea what to do.. if I should try an itch cream, or an alergy medication... or something else..

Thanks! :)

Aside, from this, he is healthy, and he has had all shots, etc. Anyone ever heard of this?

We have a lot of cats, and they will pee all over whatever they feel like . I need to know what I can do to get them to stop! I spend hours a day cleaning up after them! They will also poo wherever they feel like, too! Please someone help! All our boy cats are neutered, they are not spraying--they are just peeing. They don't have UTI's, they just won't go where they're supposed to.

My cat is the king of our castle, he is ok with sniffing the new kitten out, but he has not let me bring him in the house yet. Whats the best way to get him to accept him?

While growing up, all my cats were declawed. I recently purchased my own kittens and am planning on having them declawed shortly. I think that it is a good idea for an indoor cat and I am tired of reading everybody's complaints about the procedure. Specifically:
1. Certainly it can be no more humane to have an animal spayed/neutered than declawed. An animals instincts to procreate are certainly on par with the instinct to climb. Regardless of what others have written, I have never seen any difference in the post-op pain from a spay/neuter versus a declaw.
2. Is it better to constantly reprimand your pet and keep them from their natural instincts of playing with you, climbing on furniture, and attacking the curtains? Wouldn't it be better to let your cat act out their natural instincts on a daily basis, without the damage to yourself, your friends, or your possessions?

I have never had anything less than a blissfully happy cats - and not one has had front claws.

Say I put my cat in a room with no gravity? The cat just floats there, how would it react? Would it try to claw to death the nearest thing it could find?

in their own garden by a new cat to the area.
Every night at around the same time as night falls this cat attacks through the cat flap.
One of our cats guards the cat flap every night and fights this cat off but he keeps coming back every night.
This pattern has been going on for 3 months now and we are sick to death of this cat.
All our cats are very nervous and edgy now .
This cat has even sneaked in to our upstairs bedroon on one occasion at 3am!
What the hell can we do?
HELLLLLP!!!!!

I'm moving in less than two weeks, and I have a kitten and this will be her first move, and she'll be moved without two of her playmates, any suggestions on keeping her calm, and helping her adjust to her new surroundings.
