A cat will pretty much go into and out of heat every couple weeks until she is bred unless you have her spayed.
It will be very miserable for you and her if she isn't spayed soon, so call your vet and make an appointment soon :)

Cats, on average, (during the 'kitten season') will go on heat every 3 1/2 weeks. This varies on when the cat was last pregnant, or if she's just coming to the age she would start to go on call (what 'heat' is often called in the cat world), or if it's been a few callings since she was last mated. As someone else previously mentioned, though, if a female comes across a tomcat; she can come into heat within 24 hours. Also; if a cat, especially one who has not been pregnant; goes onto heat to many times without having been mated; she can get an infection of the uterus; which can be very deadly. So best bet, if you aren't registered and your cat is not of the upmost show quality and been proven to be of show-winning quality; then fix her. It's not fair to her, or healthy for her to jsut let her get pregnant to any tomcat, and a cat that's left unfixed and has even the slightest oppourtunity to get outside, will, and will end up pregnant. Cats, just like humans, can carry things on their genitals; whether it be chlamydia or an infection that affects the females; but any male that mates with a female that carries it will carry it and can then infect other females. And cats if not properly watched can have up to four litters a year, nursing and pregnant at the same time, which obviously isn't healthy for mum or the kittens, and will most likely kill the mum after a few years. So fix her up, if you have a cat that's not been; unless as I mentioned before; you and she are registered and she's of the upmost proven show quality; and even then, fix the kittens that result that aren't show quality. If everyone did the right thing and fixed their domestic; and those that are breeders only allowed those of the absolute top quality to go unfixed; to other reputable registered breeders; there would be no need for shelters...

That question cannot be answered, some cats go into heat 2 or 3 times a year while others can go into heat for a week, be ok for the next, then go into heat the week after, I have one of those so I had to get her in after she got out of heat and got her spayed. Of course, they can suffer from urinary tract infections because of the heat cycle. If you have a cat, and she is in heat, get her to the vet after she is finished, have her spayed. Be good, prevent unwanted deaths and cat suffering, get her spayed. Also at that time have her checked for a urinary infection because of the heat cycle.

Depends on the cat I had to get my cat spayed twice as the vet did not get it done correctly the first time and when she went into heat those 2 times before we got her spayed again it was hell. Anyway they can go into heat every couple weeks to a few times a year.

Cats come in heat once a month starting at around 8 months. But it can be stopped by getting them fixed.

During summer months it can literally be every 2 weeks -- if they even go out of it. They are also spontaneous ovulators, so if they encounter an unaltered male, they can ovulate immediately -- so you're almost guaranteed kittens if there's an encounter. If you have a kitty that's reached her first heat cycle, you need to have her spayed ASAP!! She AND you will be much happier!

once was enough for me...get your kitty fixed...it was enough to drive me crazy and it is not good for them, the longer you wait to fix her the more risk of jeopardizing her health....check out pyometra in cats in heat....good luck!!!
