I have a cat her name is Iris, I don't think of her as a pet she's more like a best friend or my baby, Is that weird?
I would like to hear what you have to say about your cat, whoever has the best story and it has to be true, gets 10 points.
:-)

I don't have a cat but my sister has two.
One was a stray cat.
He's really cute, black and white, but has the tail shaped like a handle (kind of like an incomplete T) because he was injured by some boys.
He's always looking for attention and hands his paw to everyone.
The other (also the eldest) is more reserved.
He's always checking you out from a distance.
He's from a race called Norwegian Woods and has a big fluffy yellow and white tail.
She treats them like her kids and I sometimes joke and ask her about "the children".
I have pictures of them in my wallet like they were really my nephews, too.
Sometimes, when we're on the phone, I heard them just like they were asking "Who's that?" or "Send her some kisses.".
And so what?
I don't think that's weird!
They need as much attention as babies and they reward us with attention and love just like children do.

I have 3 cats...my two oldest were rescued from an abusive home and my littlest one was rescued from a really dirty home...and many vet bills later on the littlest one she is as healthy as can be. My kitties are my babies and my best friends. The glory about having an animal is you can say whatever you want to them and they can keep a secret like none other. I wouldn't trade them in for the world!

so no, you are not weird..there are many of us out there just like you. :o)

my Cats name was Albert. We got him at the vet, becuz his mother was half bob cat, and trying to eat him. Albert was always my baby, through thick and thin. He would usually walk me to my bus stop when my bro started going to a different school earlier in the morning. And he would meet me there after, becuz I was afraid of the big dogs from the stop to my house. He always slept at my feet, and never at my head through spring, becuz he knew I had such bed allergies. And when I was sick at home and my Mom was at work, hew would always lay by me to make me warm, becuz my Dad was to busy on the computer. Yes, Albert was my baby, and he was the best friend I ever had, even when i did not have any other friends in my new grade, he was always by my side. I don't know if I appreciated him enough, for when he died I realized how much I missed him, and now I know, that he did not care, he was my baby.

I have 4 cats by my oldest, Boobulah is my baby. I rescued her from the ASPCA 8 years ago and she was as thin as a rail. She's so fat now her pooch almost hangs to the ground. She's always there when I'm upset or mad like she's letting me know "I'm here for you ma". Last summer when we had to move because our landlord decided we couldn't keep a cat in the apartment, we moved just for her sake. Where ever I go, she goes for sure. She's my buddy.

Yep I think of my cat as my baby girl..She means the world to me..When I adopted her I fail in love with her..If I dint have any children then that is fine because I have her as my child..If I move she well go..I well not give her up Because of that..She is my best friend in the world..When I am down or feeling sick she is always by my side giving me kisses..She has a very kind and gentle soul..

I call my cats my "Furry" children. Pets become a part of the family and your love for them is as real as for your "human" family ! Animals are taken in to hospitals and nursing homes to cheer up patients, there's gotta be a reason for that !! It ain't by accident, it's a proven fact that having a pet alters and enhances your feelings.
Don't be ashamed of your feelings for your cat !!

My wife thinks of our three cats as her "babies". She is pregnant right now with twins, so we will see how she acts once she has the human babies. (She is due in November.) So, for now I am the one who has to clean the litter box, and I guess they are kind of my babies too. They are definitely part of the family, that is for sure. Great fun and comfort to have them around. Better than watching TV sometimes when they interact with each other!

every cat i've ever had was my best friend, if not my baby. even as a kid, i wouldn't go to bed until my cat came in, i used to roll up the blanket just so, to make a bed for them on the bottom of my bed (now they just sleep in the bed with me), i used to even cut up pieces of meat for them to eat if i thought it was too big for their mouth. i remember sitting up with a laboring mama cat till the wee hours, not that i knew what to do-just so she wouldn't be scared, she had me there to pet her and stuff. now that i'm married with 3 boys and a grandson, i still have cats and my favorite one is still treated like my baby. in fact i catch myself making the same "clicking noises" i use to call my cats, to try to get my grandsons attention. as a little girl my mom used to tease me about how i liked cats better than people. kinda still do!

both of our cats are family to my wife and I. One was a stray kitten I found in a parking lot. The other we adopted because he is a special needs cat(stepped on by a horse).

yes all my pets have somehow been my "babies" They need your care and show you so much affection in return. My cat used to sleep every night with me in my bed while he was lying in my arms like a teddy bear
