My solid white persian had 4 kittens 2 nights ago. The dad is a Seal Point Himalayan. My solid white female is masking blue.

I am not a pro at genetics, but maybe someone out there knows the answer to this:

How in the world did she end up with a SOLID BLACK kitten? Is this normal, or is there something not right with her bloodline?

Thanks SO much!!

We'll be driving to CA from RI in mid September. I'll be driving the Uhaul and my wife our car. We have a dog and a cat. It's the cat I'm worried about. We have a crate for her w/her bed, etc. and my wife plans on getting a harnes and a leash to use when going from the car to the hotel, etc. Still we are both kind of at a loss as how the experience will play itself out. Does any one have any advise or experience you can share of like circumstances??

I have a Himalayan kitten, 9 weeks old, who pees and poops on my couch. She even does it in front of us. She uses her litter box on almost all occasions, but once a day tries the couch. I know it's not the litter, cause she uses it several times a day. She has not eliminated anywhere else in the house, only the couch. I keep the litter box clean and I keep it in a close, private location for her. I cleaned the areas with nature's Miracle and with my Hoover steam vac, the smell has been eliminated, but even when I covered the area with a blanket, she climbed on top of the blanket and pooped! The vet says she's healthy, but offers no advice that I have not already tried What on Earth can I do to stop this, she is ruining my furniture and I paid alot of money for her, I would like to keep her.

Mine is a male and he talks all the time, never shutting up. LOL It drives me crazy...I am thinking about having his vocals removed. Is this terrible of me? Either that or giving him to the humane society.......

my kitten already has a small scratching post, but he's kind of outgrown it, he towers over the top when he's stretched out, and also id like to get another for the bedroom so he stops tearing up the bottom of our blankets...What is a nice, "fun", inexpensive post for kittens??

I just rescued a kitty and the previous owners offered no information to the facility where I got her other than her estimated age (1.5 years). They do not sterilize the animals there, nor do they do any tests. I want to know if I can tell if she was previously spayed. I would hate to see her be cut open for no reason, and honestly I do not want to have to pay for something that is not necessary. I imagine I could look for a scar, but her hair is pretty thick and she is freaking out if I bring the clippers near her to shave her belly for a better look. She is going to the vet tomorrow to have blood work and vaccinations, if I cannot tell will the vet be able to?
I am really not being cheap, if she is not spayed I will have it done. I just do not want to have her put under and cut if there is no need.

My daughter has had to put her dog in a kennel and cat in a cattery, its going to be for around 6 weeks, due to a house move going pear-shaped. She is not sure whether its a good idea to visit each w/e, as this may upset them when she leaves. Does anyone else have experience of this and any suggestions? No stupid answers please Im not in the mood!

we adopted a kitten about 3 weeks ago, he was very verbal to start out with, then lastweek we went away for 2 days on vacation and since we have been back the kitten wont stop talking...if i stop playing with him for 1 minute he yells and screams at me, he talks while he is in the litter box, eating, playing, you name it! he's not sick, he was just at the vet before we left on thursday for shots and a check-up. Do you think its because i give him too much attention and he's taking advantage of that, or that he is still mad?? Or think its just because he's a very verbal cat?

I have two young cats. One with long hair and one with short hair. I've used Fresh Steps for the past year, but it seems the crystals end up outside the box, even after purchasing a box that's shaped like an igloo that has the steps inside...thinking the litter would at least come off on the steps, inside the box, but that's not the case.

Anyone out there who has fixed this problem? I'm ready to try something else, like Arm & Hammer.

Thanks in advance for your answers. :)

We adopted two apx. 8 week old kittens from our local SPCA on 8/21. They were dewormed on 8/20. On the first night they both ate fine, but later that evening, one of them vomited her food back. The vomit seemed fine, just what she had ate. The next day, she refused all food but was drinking plenty of water. Her stools were normal and free of worms. Also she was active and quite playful . Late on the third day she finally ate, but again vomited later. Again it seemed to be just the food. She's still active, and her eyes and nose are clear, and her stool are normal. What would be causing this? Could it be from the deworming?

He just wants to play. How much time will it take them to get used to each other? Can I hel them to start liking each other? Please help...

I am in the process of toilet training my cats. I keep finding poop on the seat.. YUCK.. I think it is the male cat that is doing that. Is this something they will stop doing.

My one cat, since she was a kitten, steals our hair scrunches, rubber bands, and hords them. Everyday a new one is in her food dish. She is two years old and still does that. When we take it out she gets another. The other cat Butthead, ,we talk to him and he cries out to us. I never seen this before. You just call his name and he cries this alien type cry. Everyone laughs at him. We don't abuse him

My cat is 16 months old. He is a great cat doesn't give me much trouble except the occasional fight with our other cat 11 months old. We have never in the past had a problem with him using the litter box and we have gotten nothing new in the plce where the litter box is kept, but suddenly, when we are not around he has been leaving us"presents" on the floor, right next to the litter box.if we are there near him he will us ethe box just fine. We tried changing his litter, we tried giving him more attention, less attention, no matter what we do he keeps it up. My next step is probaly the vet, I can't figure it out!

Our 5 week old kitten has just recently been coughing, or at least I think that is what she is doing. Its kind of like a sneeze and has done it a couple of times now. She seems fine (playing, eating and using the litter box regularly). She's going to the vet soon but I would like to know if any one has experienced this with a new kitten. If you did what was the illness and what did it cost? Thanks!
