What food are you offering?

I think that, unless the nose is really parched, a dry nose is OK (my cat's nose is not wet, by any means - just a little bit more moist than, say, his paws). But then, if your cat's nose used to be regularly wet / moist, the change may be a sign of alarm. The loss of apetite is a greater cause of concern - how long has he refused to eat? A cat can do without food for three days without getting significant harm... Have you tried offering another type of food? Treats? Is he trying to hide, or is he still playful / affectionate? The best way is to take him to the vet, but I think the vet is likely to ask these quesitons too :)

Good luck, I hope your cat's OK.

Your cat is probably constipated or dehydrated. When they are constipated or dehydrated, they will quit eating and drinking. Just to make sure, you should take it to the veterinarian.
(btw my cat had that same problem a couple months ago and had to get an emema at teh veterinarian..lol..gross... Anyways, ive been giving him wet food mixed with dry, and no problems since). Try that .

you need to take him to the vet. having a dry nose can be a sign of sickness, and especially if he wont eat, there is definitely something wrong. dont take a chance; take him to the vet.
