My one cat, since she was a kitten, steals our hair scrunches, rubber bands, and hords them. Everyday a new one is in her food dish. She is two years old and still does that. When we take it out she gets another. The other cat Butthead, ,we talk to him and he cries out to us. I never seen this before. You just call his name and he cries this alien type cry. Everyone laughs at him. We don't abuse him

my cat actually takes the hair tie out of my hair! that gets kind of annoying but every cat ive ever owned has loved playing with them, its small, easy to carry in thier mouth and they can kinda throw it when it gets stuck in thier paws....If its becoming a problem put them somewhere that the cat cant get to, like a bathroom shelf or even try wearing it on your wrist until you need it

My previous cat would take my socks (just one out of a pair, but more than just one) whenever I left the drawer open and leave them next to the litter box.

i.e it's normal.

Or maybe a hint that I needed to wash my socks more often...

Another thing he did in the summertime, when I got home from work, instead of being by the door, he would be sitting in the tub and say "now" (I swear that's what it sounded like) He wanted a bath so he could cool off...

:)

That's just their different personalities and temperaments. We have 2 cats, a brother and sister, both 2 years old. The girls loves balled up pieces of paper, she digs in the trash for them if she has to. Her brother is my cat and he spends all day doing what he wants and largely ignoring me. But after about 6:30pm or 7:00pm he suddenly becomes this ultra needy little weirdo. He will sit next to me and try to push me down by placing his paws on my shoulders. If I do lie down he's happy because he can then climb on to my hip and go to sleep. If I get up in the middle of the night, he follows me around the house, even to the bathroom. If I shut the door to the bathroom, he will bang on it and make all kinds of noise until I let him in and then he jumps up on my lap while I'm sitting there. They are all so different but fun.

Your one cat is a thief and likes to play with your stuff as a toy. Does she have her own toys? A catnip mouse or such? And I have a cat that I can go outside and call and I can hear him from half a block away calling back to me to let me know he heard me and is coming home. Some cats are more talkers than others. It sounds like you have two very unique cats and you should be proud of them.

We have 2 cats - sisters. One is very talkative. When you greet her as she comes in in the morning she will respond with a brr! kind of meow until you stop answering her back or she gets tired of talking. The other one hardly ever meows except when she is saying hello & it's just a short mew! sound. We never had cats before & they are such fun! Enjoy yours.

Cats are like humans in the way that some of them are a bit strange compared to others. I've seen cats do much funnier stuff than that.

That is so funny and cute. I had one who used to steal jewelry. He stole a couple of my necklaces and I never did find them so I started putting them up in the jewelry box where he couldn't get them and that seemed to stop that problem. Also, whenever you would talk to him he would meow like he was talking back. He was so precious.

Maybe it's your scent that attracts her. It's her way of trying to keep you closer.

Cats tend to become very dependent on people they like. They do have very individual personalities and many are quite intelligent for animals.

Just enjoy her while you have her.

My dog likes to hoard soft toys and she doesn't like it when we take them away, all animals have strange habits just like humans.
