His nails arent very long but he managed to get them caught in something and when he did he pulled his foot and when he did that, he bent his nail back. the nail is still there, he just pulled it back alittle. there was a tad bit of blood when i looked at his foot after it happened and his toe was alittle swolen, but since then i have been putting hydrogen peroxide on it and the swelling has dissappeared, there has been no bleeding and he isnt favoring it as much as he was. How long will it take for it to heal? Please only answer if you have had a bird before, or had this happen. Thank you.

My bird used to be downstairs.
But my parents got mad because everytime they came home they had to hear his small but loud mouth!
So they made me put him in my room...
He is so loud and poops so much in his cage!
Is there a way I can shut this dang bird up?
With out hurting , killing, or giving him away?
Please help me! I may never sleep again!
Ps..he is so dang stubborn!
If i tap him on his beak he gets mad and attacks me!
Even when i try to take him out of his cage! hE attackes me! i Have a scar on my thumb now..
Is there a way i can make hhim stop biting?

He had a respiratory infection not long after we got him, but that was cured with antibiotics. Since then, he hasn't sang a song. The vet says he is healthy. Any ideas?

we were given two lovebirds today that have not been very well cared for. they are fairly young (still have black on their beaks) and are very tame - you can pick them up and pet them. One of the birds has splayed legs and can only climb around on the side of the cage. Is there anything that I can do for this bird to help it get back to normal? No matter what we are going to provide the best life for it as possible - we just need some good advice.

I need to know: Do hens lay eggs all year-round, or do they lay in cycles?

Also, I was wondering how many eggs a hen can be expected to lay in one day?

I have two Cockatiels (-- Nymphicus Hollandicus) and now I have them outside, even at night. But these past two days as the temperature drop a bit, at night it got to 20º C or 68º F, they became more blumped and fluffy feathers. Is this related with the drop of temperature, should I get them in or is this normal?

We had a cockatoo named Elvis, 12 years old. He loved the outdoors hanging in his cage whisteling at the other birds. We found him dead yesterday. We had a hanging petunia beside his cage. Would eating the plant have caused his death?
