I have hummingbirds year round (in CA) and I change mine about every 3-4 days. I had my feeder out for about 2 weeks before anyone "found" it..now I have 3 hummers fighting over it. Give it some time.

You should change it at least once a week. You may just have not seen any yet..They are wonderful to watch..I set feeders out every year from march to october. I live in alabama and have long summers..Once they come to feed..they will stay and come back each year if you keep your feeders out.

Every few days, especally if its hot out side. The sugar will ferment and the birds will get sick. If you havent ween any hummers in the area the feeder itself will not attract them.
