I have hatched out 9 silkie chicks and one of them has about a quarter of yolk sac still hanging from its navel. its still in the incubator, but im worried because it seems weak. will it absorb on my own or am I going to have to do something?

I agree with ragapple above -- this chick probably has other things wrong with it as well, and probably won't survive. If it were hatched under a hen, she would know this and probably reject it when she left the nest with her other chicks. With an incubator, you can leave it in there for a day or so (normally they don't eat until the 2nd or 3rd day anyway), on the small chance that it might absorb the rest of the yolk. Sometimes that does happen, only rarely, but it's worth a try. Otherwise, euthanasia is best. An easy way is to put it in a container in the freezer -- the chick just goes to sleep from the cold and feels no pain. It's sad, but unfortunately not every chick developes perfectly. (sigh)

Highly unlikly this chick will live and I don't know of anything to do for it (other than euthanasia)
