on craiglist on the rant a rave section i posted this

I have a very small rescue. I get all the crazies, People dont understand that even if a litter is placed there is about a 99.9% most of them will still end up in a shelter.... and will DIE because you didnt take the time to spay the mama..... Owning a dog is a resposiblity, if you cant handle taking proper care of your dog do not have one.............. Do know the pecentage of black dogs in rescuse? there are so many that when I worked for the humane society we could never take them in..... when you dont get your dog fixed you are part of the problem you are a back yard breeder
take the time to love your dog and fix it
I then put a couple of pictures and said here society here is what you have done all these dogs are dead

I was trying to get people to understand that this problem has a face cute little puppy faces....

My kitten (9months but already looks full grown) has always been a wild one when it comes to nail clipping. He scratches, kicks, and bites even when I wrap him in a blanket, have another person helping, or try to distract him with treats. I have to cut them when he is asleep which is getting harder to do as he grows older.

I need HELP!!!! His nails are so sharp they hurt when he plays :( I'm not interested in declawing, and softpaws (nail caps) are impossible to get on him. If anyone has any tips I would REALLY appreciate them! Thanks :)

I have heard that vet's prefer to train vet tech's themselves, and not have them learn from another source - like a school. I have been planning on going to a vet tech program/college. What is required to get a job at a clinic or other animal work place? What about certification exams or getting your license (sp?) --- ?

My cat frequents outside and last night he brought a tick in on him. I did the only thing I've been taught and grabbed as far down on the thing as I can and pulled. I squished it and flushed it down the pot. Here is the kicker--- There is this black dot/ hole there and I don't know if the sticker thing is still in there, or that is just where it was. My cat is acting a little weirder then normal-- hiding behind the couch and stuff which is not like him. Is he just freaked out, or should I be worried. Would peroxide bubble out the sticker thing if it was still in there?

I have a appointment for her on thursday, they told me she cant eat 8 hours before dropping her off.And I will be able to pick her up later in the afternoon. Anyone have any suggestions? What can I do to comfort her? Will she be in alot of pain? Is her personality going to change after this? I feel so bad for her now, she seems as if shes in pain or so uncomfortable now being in heat, she crys so loud and rubs her head and body on the floor, my poor baby.

I just bought a little sunfish from a feeder tank. I'm pretty sure he's a pumpkinseed. He's sharing a tank with some large common goldfish until his very own tank gets cycled. I've been feeding him feeder guppies in a breeder box so the goldfish don't get them first. Anyway, I just wanted to know some info about keeping them, its my first aggressive fish.

I have a 4 year old,12 pound,Maltese/poodle mix breed that I've had since he was 10 weeks old.He is a very affectionate lap dog & loves to be cuddled.About a year ago he started growing at me & my husband for no reason apparent to us.We then forbid him to sleep on our bed, & that helped a bit.But now he has biten each of us once before (well me twice). If we go to pet him when he's laying down, he starts off growling,& he gets louder & shows his teeth, & when we actually go to put our hands on him, he strikes. The other day he was on his bed & I went to lay my head by him & he attacked my skull out of nowhere. He gets very teritorial, but he's also very sweet. We have yelled NO, pinned him down, made him sit before doing anything or going anywhere,he walks either beside us or behind us on walks, but nothing makes him stop growling.I thought I have been doing everything right.Does anyone have any training tips on how to deal with this behaivior? feel free to contact me if you need more..

He does well with his stool, using a doggie box, but prefers to lift his leg and urinate an a bathroom door, a wood door jam and the wood bath sink cabinet. I've tried all I know, Apple bitter, pet odor control products, scolding to no avail. He's also marked a plush chair and the skirt of a couch- Ready to tie a string in it! HELP

Today I had to castrize my 6 year old boxer due to vet diagnosigning my dog (probably) with well differentiated carcinoma..I have spent over $2000.00 in medical bills not counting the $282.00 I spent today. I called my vet this P.M. to check on my boy and the answer was that he was in a dog run by himself. Do you guys actually have feelings for these animals that we feel are our kids or is tt the money! I know I am venting right now but I can not see paying you to go home while my boy lays on a COLD concrete floor because you said"HE WILL BE BETTER HERE,BECAUSE HE DOES NOT NEED TO BE EXCERCISING OR JUMPING, DUE TO THE FACT THE INCISION MAY BREAK. Do you not think that an animal would feel more prtecteced and loved if they were home with they're loved ones, instead of being alone on a dog run with no one?

My 10 year old siamese collapsed and went into a coma, by the time I had got her to her Vet she was barely breathing.(said 10 more minutes she would have died)...they tested her sugar levels and it was in the 40's,temp was 95 & all enzymes were fine, but they have no idea why she is in this coma, the Tech there said she had never seen this before. No poisons to get into and she's quite the pampered cat and no health problems. She's now on life support and they are clueless to what's wrong .Have you ever heard of anything like this?
(it's breaking my heart)
