on craiglist on the rant a rave section i posted this

I have a very small rescue. I get all the crazies, People dont understand that even if a litter is placed there is about a 99.9% most of them will still end up in a shelter.... and will DIE because you didnt take the time to spay the mama..... Owning a dog is a resposiblity, if you cant handle taking proper care of your dog do not have one.............. Do know the pecentage of black dogs in rescuse? there are so many that when I worked for the humane society we could never take them in..... when you dont get your dog fixed you are part of the problem you are a back yard breeder
take the time to love your dog and fix it
I then put a couple of pictures and said here society here is what you have done all these dogs are dead

I was trying to get people to understand that this problem has a face cute little puppy faces....

there is a huge amount of black dogs in rescues and in the pound... When I worked at the humane society they (big wigs) deemed them unadoptable

you're a dumb ******* *****.. i wanted to let you know that. i also foster strays and can't believe what you just said. i noticed your postings the past few days in the pets section and noticed how insincere you were as a foster owner. if you did indeed put those puppies to sleep, you are a shitbag to the highest degree.

so I posted this
First of all I didnt kill the puppies the owner of the mother pretty much condemn them.... I placed them in good homes... but as we all know most people have tragic things happen to them.... and once again these pups well be homeless you think they will be lucky again? I am not being heartless I am being matter of fact I am sorry that you feel this is some sort of a attack on you it isnt...You probley understand the importance of fixing your pet but the public stupidity is just amazing... When I look into those puppies eyes I am horrible sadden.... I try to keep the faith but it is hard when I get on a average 4 calls a day people pleding for me to take there puppies... And I cant
so the puppies go tp the pound were after a month they are put down

All animals should have a good home and a loving family, but unfortunately this is not always the case .Animals do deserve a good life they can be a best friend in so many ways. There are so many strays and unwanted some people could care less and that is sad. You taking in so many animals is very kind the community should help you with food and such and yes it is up to owners to be responsible for their pets. the pictures you put up are cold hard facts that we all need to take a look at and realize this really does happen and it is our fault. I agree with you if you can't be a responsible owner then you don't need a pet! Plain and simple!

Noyou were not wrong for posting this . the point being is that when will people learn to get their animals spayed or neutered . I also foster but can only foster one or two depending on the size of the animal. I have a chi and right now i have a belgian malinois and he is up for adoption . Again a purebred animal that ended up in a no kill shelter but still a shelter because someone did not take the time to spay his mom or neuter his father . And i am sure he will get a home . But who is to say what happens to the other 98 .5% of dogs in shelters. When you breed dogs you dont know where your dogs really end up. So for all you people out there that say oh I know where my dogs go . Really do you ? I seriously doubt it . Not trying to be mean trying to be as truthfull as I can .

first let me say i agree with you, and i think your rant was just. i too have worked in a shelter and seen most of the black dogs get put down just for their lovely black coats and puppies that left and came back as adults because it didn't fit in anymore or because it won't listen (because 'you" couldn't take the time to train the dog properly) some people think dog is an ornament, or states the Yeah i got a pit bull so I'm tough...BS...

but most people don't like to know that if they don't have their pet fixed they are part of the problem...but hey keep it up i try to PO someone at least once a day don't worry ur doing what u think is right and tell others that hey get your pet fixed so there aren't so many 'unwanted' unplaceable pets out there

You're a far better person than I am for trying.Bless you.
I always thought I'd like to foster dogs the shelter has no room for but I know in my heart that I cannot.Once they come into my home they are here to stay as family members.
Dogs are like children.Children are not disposable and dogs should not be either.
Post away anywhere and everywhere you can.If you can just get one person to realize the importance of spaying or neutering and they go get it done you've made a difference so don't be discouraged by all the negativity you get for your effort.

People do not like hearing the cold hard facts. I support and even praise your post!! I have spent multi-thousands of dollars taking care of other peoples problems, oh they are soo cute when they are little but reach maturity and start spraying, well DUH, get it fixed, no they make it a barn cat who impregnates and fights with all the other unnuetered males. So I am constantly administering antibiotics to make them healthy enough that I can then get them fixed. I can afford to do it but it shouldn't be that way. If your child was sick you would find the time and money to treat that child, it should be the same for your pets-if you can't afford them don't get them unless you seek help from grants or payment plans.
I volunteer at our local animal shelter and I just have to walk away when an owner surrender walks in. Oh we've had fluffy fo 10 years she's a great dog but we just can't take her so here, you do it. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!! Makes no sense to me because after Fluffy goes in that cage, unless divine intervention kicks in, Fluffy will be euthanized within a week. So I support your statements, I agree. We have to fight the fight for the animals!! God Bless You!!

" People dont understand that even if a litter is placed there is about a 99.9% most of them will still end up in a shelter"

That is just not true. I have bred many many litters and I know where EACH and EVERY dog is!!! It isn't *MY* pups ending up in the shelter! It is the dogs owned by the people that are to stupid or lazy to manage their animals!

If stupid AC would enforce leash laws and keep dogs off the streets, dogs wouldn't be randomly breeding on the streets, and they wouldn't be attacking people either!

99.9% of ALL dogs end up in a shelter??? Not true!!!

I have several intact dogs. It is not rocket science to keep them from breeding with each other, unless you are a complete idiot.

I agree with you and I think that maybe, just possibly if people put names and faces to the statics they would be a little more feeling. Then again probably now knowing the pieces of crap I've seen...At any rate I didn't get much of your post after "cute little puppy faces"...

What's the point in the sentence "Do you know the percentage of black dogs in rescue?" I don't get it. I think perhaps you mean...do you know the percentage of black labs, and border collie dogs in rescue?...because most abandoned adult dogs are those two breeds cause lazy people don't walk them and they get rammy.
