I know puppies need lots of water daily, but this pup drinks till his bowl is empty and wants more. He eats 2 cups of Purina Beneful three times daily. He is growing at a normal pace, super fast, and has a playful and energetic mischevoues temperment. Is the water requirements normal?

What foods can I buy at Petco or Petsmart (No Wal*Mart crap) that is still healthy for him (He's on Nutro now, just to give you an idea of what I'm looking for) but won't irritate his system?

If it helps, he'll be 5 months old on the 4th.

He's not throwing up, he has diarrhea. He has only had this problem since I switched him over to the Nutro, which I was told was a healthy brand. My assumption is that he either has a sensitive stomach or that the food is too rich for him. Either way, I want to buy something that will be easier for him to digest; and I refuse to go back to Science Diet or Iams because I know how they are processed and what they contain.

I want to convince my mom that I'm old enough to be responsible for one. The dog would have to be hypoallergenic, somewhat calm, loveable and small/medium sized. She says that we will never get one after the previous dog experience we had five years ago, so please give me some dog breeds and ideas to persuade her...

Some people dont bathe their cat and said that they clean themselves. Also they said combing is the only thing you have to do.

I have a cat whom is 5 years old, shes always had decent hygiene until about a year ago, when she just stopped caring so much it seems... I RARELY see her lick herself, and she isn't cleaning her rear after using the toilet, I'm now going to have to replace most of the carpet in my house the stains are so bad. (I'm not the only one whos letting it get bad) as shes 'wiping' herself on the carpet (really funny to watch a cat drag herself on a carpet, but costly for me)

I'm not concerned about the carpet, I'll try to steam it, but please give me advice on how to get her to clean herself again, I bled a fair amount last time *I* cleaned her :|

I'm moving in about two weeks, about 3-4 miles down the road. I have 4 gouramis, in a 30 gallon tank, and I am wondering what is the best method in moving them with me.
Should I gather them and put them in a bag until the tank is settled in the new house, which will only take about max 30 minutes to get it loaded and unloaded.
Are there any other methods in moving my fish, so they won't be so stressed out?
Thanks for the help!

Everyday I fill my cat's water dish and then go to work. When I come home the bowl is upside down and all the water is all over the floor. There are two obvious problems here - First, she gets really dehydrated and second, I have to clean the water everyday! She's the only pet in the house and I live alone, so I know it's her and I have tried everything - heavy ceramic bowls, rubber bottom bowls, cat mats that grip the floor, putting her dish inside of a second dish, I have a cat dish that looks like a water cooler and I have tried those lifted food dishes - she knocks them all over.
Why does she do this and what can I do to prevent this?

I have a bleeding heart tetra and i went on vacation for a few weeks, while a friend took care of my fish for me. When i got back, i noticed that the bleeding heart tetra had developed a black marking on its top fin. What's going on? I never had anything like this before.....its been more than 2 weeks, and the mark has still not gone away. Anyone?

My horse, Meeko is having a weird problem around his tail. Somehow he has bald patches right where his butt meets his tail and his tail is all ruffled up. I don't think it's worms because he is acting fine otherwise, except he has very bad gas. His stool is fine, his fur looks great, and he is eating and drinking normally. His personality hasn't changed either. He is all up to date with his shots, worming, etc. Any idea of what this could be?

I have two 16 week old pups (maltese / pug crosses), brother and sister. Both of them have begun digging holes in the lawn recently - does anyone have any strategies for discouraging this behaviour please? Why would they be doing this? (I dont think it is boredom as they are very much doted on by my wife and I).

I don't know why my dog, Bart, likes going for walks so much. Everytime I get out his chain he gets happy, and all we do is go around the block the same direction everytime. Does anyone know why dogs like going on walks so much?

I don't know if there is such a thing as an automatic feeder for caged birds, but since I have one for my aquarium, I thought someone might be able to help. I would much appreciate it.

He's gone (missing). I'm just wondering if I can find 1/2 these characteristics in another cat.
He was this long, black/white handsome cat that only thought with his heart:
-A neighborhood cat would always try to attck him, and finally put a gash in my cat's head. A week after this attack, he became best friends with this cat.
-He would eat a bone, and growl at my dog if the dog came near him.
-He would jump into the sink while I was doing dishes; or try to jump into the shower while I was showering.
-He would eat anything, and get into almost any packaging. I couldn't leave any food out.
-He would jump into strangers' cars and strangers' homes, while people were in them, and not want to come out. Yes, he'd go up to anyone.
-He would try to hump my arm. (None of this was learned from my small pekingese dog)
-He could jump super long distances.
-He would let me kiss him all over his face, and would hug me.
-He was both dependant and independant.
