does a dogs mother and father have to be akc registered to have the pups akc registered or can only one be registered to have the pups get registered because my dobie (9 months old) is not registered yet and i wanted to register him but only his mother is registered and his father was not and a couple of months ago the father died so the lady i got my dobie from didnt have him registered so ultamitly is it possible to get my dobie registered

I took my dog to the vet for her last set of vaccinations and it included rabies. Well after being home for a half hour my puppy's face swelled up and she began having problems breathing. What can I give her to alleviate the problem. Should I take her to the vet?

I left the ice cream container open and when i went back the the kitchen my kitten was sitting in it and eating it T.T its all sticky and i need to wash it quickly so can i just use baby shampoo cos i dnt have any cat shampoo!! help!!!

We have a 4 month old puppy and while we are at work she is left at home - alone. She is gated off from much of the house, but where she does have access she destroys the carpet, her wee-wee pads, etc... I'm sure it's because she's bored. Anyone have any ideas for a stimulating dog toy to keep her somewhat busy? Thx!

I have 2 cats, a male and a female. For the longest time, I suspected it was the male, i would come home and find throw up and stools on the carpet. One day I was home and found out that it is the female doing that. I had recently changed their food from Purina to Cat chow, and now she has done it 3 days in a row. I know it could be the cat food, or something else. I can understand that she would throw up, she usually gobbles her food, or maybe she doesnt like the new food, but why is she defacation outside the litter box when she throws up? I keep a clean litter box, food and water. I am so sick and tired of cleaning the carpet, I know I need to take her to the vet and change the food, but what in the world would cause a cat to behave this way ???

I have a 7 year old male German shepard mix. He's lived here since he was two. When he first came we introduced him to our other dog who was a female akita. She passed away this october and now we're trying to introduce a new dog. She's a 2 year old yellow lab. Now, he's extremely anti-social, he barks and growls at all other dogs. So she was no exception. When she came over he was barking and growling and couldn't go near her. My mom really wants this lab, but if he doesn't get along with her we can't. Is there anyway to make him less agressive towards her? Please help.

We thought Stewie was a Russian blue, but he lacks the signature green eyes and his face seems more wedge-shaped. The main thing is that he is a talker. He talks a lot! But, he's very long and lanky, so not muscular enough to be Burmese or Tokinese (though the coat density and softness is very much like a Toki). We didn't think he's a mix because he seems so pure in color and shape. I've looked online at breed profiles and in books, but just can't find anything with his head shape and eye color. Here's some pix of him.

I need some sort of mat to catch the litter from the cats' paws as they exit the box. I've tried the ridged and Astroturf-style mats but they just jump over those - because they don't like the way they feel on their paws, I guess.

Has anyone found something that's effective for catching litter scatter that the cats will actually use & not just jump over?

I sweep the area frequently, but it would be nice to have something to contain the scatter in between cleanups. Thanks!

Well today i really learned that goldfish really are the dirtyest fish.
I have had my Goldfish for 3 weeks now. I have changed 30% of the water everyweek and added all the differnet chemicals. All the poo is still on the bottom of the tank and im wondering how everyone else is cleaning this?
Also how often should i get new rocks for my tank?

My dog went into her 1st heat and became aggressive. I went to a dog trainr today that wanted almost $2,000.00 to "solve" our issue. She is fear aggressive, and wanting to dominate. i do not want to get rid of her, but I have 2 other non aggressive dogs, 1 male and 1 female that she now does not get along with. We would appreciate any training tips on this matter that anyone can give us....we love all of our dogs and want them to cohabitate together with our family....please help!!
