i have a maltese shih tzu mix. he's a little bigger than most of his breeds, but he's still very small compared to labrador or other big dogs. i took him to a park and there were four big dogs coming after him. they were friendly, except for this one dog who keeps on attacking him with his two front paws and hurt his back. he was okay. he wasn't hurt that bad but he was so terrified he screamed for like ten minutes during the chasing. and i freaked out because he was so loud and sounded like he was hurting really bad.
this has never happened to him before. he's fine with big dogs as long as they're not aggressive. he doesn't like loud dogs.
he was so terrified. so what should i do? should i stay away from the park and forget about trying to get him to make friends with big dogs? because i'm thinking i might get a big dog someday....

He's eating ok, and seems normal except for the fact that he's the wrong way up, its almost like he needs to get rid of some air or something. Any suggestions?

I can't get her to do anything outside. I must admit she's quite smart though she hides from me and when she "appears" I don't find the "nasty" gift she's left until later. It's almost creepy where she goes because it's mostly in places I don't frequent, like upstairs in a bedroom that isn't used or in the back of a closet. I know she probably wasn't potty - trained as I thought because I took her out OFTEN. Is it possible to take them out to often while training?

I have a puppy that doesn't eat dog food. I bought him purina for puppy at his first day at home. At first, he ate the food but the following day, I was surpise that he barely touch the food. I thought that maybe he doesn't want purina so I tried pedigree puppy food... again he doesn't want to eat it. He just smells it and play with it but doesn't eat it.

When I bought some treats (pedigree calbones etc.) it is only then that my puppy started to eat. I am however worried that he might not be taking enough nutrients for his daily needs. WHAT SHOULD I DO TO MAKE MY PUPPY EAT THE PUPPY DOG FOOD EITHER OF PURINA OR PEDIGREE? PLS HELP.

Our 3yr. old Lab breaks out in hives due to an acute allergy from something. We had to rush him to the emergency vet last night coz he had tiny bumps on his skin all over his body- head, legs , back, everywhere. The vet said he had an acute allergy to something and gave him a Benadryl shot. No one has been able to tell us why this is happeneng and this is the second time it has occured. One vet suggested that we get his blood tested to see what he is allergic to and that they could give him a shot to cure it. Only problem is, it could cost $700 + thru the course of a year to get him treated that way, and we would have this problem for the rest of his life. We can't afford to spend that kind of money every year but we want him to stop suffering. Is there any holistic remedy or herbal treatment for him to where he's not having to take shots or pop pills for the rest of his life just to be himself?
He's feeling miserable and I hate seeing him suffer like this. Please help.

I have been feeding my staffie this food and am generally happy. I am particularly concerned about ethical issues as I am aware that Iams in particular are cruel to dogs in their testing of food. What do others think?

My dog is suffering. He got bump by a car. He's still alive though but he lost his 2 feet and he can't barely move. He can't bark anymore and he can't properly eat now. I think he is slowly dying. We love our dog and we don't want him to suffer anymore.

Ducks: Im going to feed it the duck food from a Southern States. do they need anything else. I think someone said they need salt in the summer time but the food already has it in there. Also, what shouldnt i give the duck to eat as a snack. Can i give him veggies or other leftovers. In his cage will be a pond so i know he will like that.
