My dog has really bad allergies and itches a lot, and I was wondering if it would be okay to put cortizone on her? I don't know if it would hurt her to dig again (with her mouth) if she has cortizone on her or not. If not, does anyone else have any suggestions to help her stop itching so much?

I had my dog spayed and now about a month later I have noticed that she occasionally leaks urine. I have been reading about Spay incontinence, but most of the information I have seen on that is that it occurs when the dog is sleeping or relaxed.

The problem for my dog happens after we have gone out to do "business." She will go to the bathroom, sometimes more than once, and then when we get back into the building she leaks a few drops. It usually isn't more than a tsp worth, and usually less. I have tried making sure that she has done all she needs too, and also taking her out again when I see the drips but she doesn't seem to have to "potty" any more than she has.

Anyone have an idea if this is spay incontinence, or another problem?

I have a one-and-a half year old cat. She has the run of a fairly large 2 story house. I work at home and do not live alone, so she does not go many periods of being alone.

To train her some I have used a water pistol, and made noise with a rolled up newspaper. This is to keep her off kitchen counters and from food. I have never struck her. Today is particularly sad. Last night as she sometimes does, she came up by my pillow and slept right with me. Sometimes she sleeps on my legs, rear area. This morning I was petting her and loving her, not overdoing it. Then just started to nip me, finally breaking skin, and biting fairly hard. I have several bloody places, athough there are not deep. When she was doing this I hollered, "No!", "No,!" (the usual reasonable command for discipline).

She will nip my father, who comes over fairly often; he has to be careful. Suggestions about what to do concerning my cat, Cleo, would be greatly appreciated.

I have 3 swordtails in a ten gallon but in about a month they will be moved to a 20 gallon since they get to 4 inches
But my friend is having a problem because she didnt realize a goldfish needs a large tank, so is there any way I could instead keep the goldfish in the 20 and wait another 2 months to get another tank for my swordtails?

We have Two Pythons (Nina-12ft albino burmese python, Shadow-2ft ball python) and Nina seems to get along with all of our other pets. We have three dogs (lab, poodle, and samoyen), seven cats (3 adult and 4 kittens), a gecko (Damian) and two ferrets. Not to mention the five kids. Of course I'm not going to leave her alone with the other pets (or kids) but she has gotten out before and didn't bother them... one of the cats walked right up to her and licked her.... she licked it back and went on rambling. Is this common?

There are a lot of people here breeding dogs. So I have a few questions here to anyone who breeds their dog(s), but may not show their dog, work their dog, compete in performance sports with their dog, etc... I am also not debating pure bred over mixed, simply choosing to breed in general here, plain and simple...

Why did you decide to breed your dog in the first place?

How did you choose the dog you mated with yours? How did you find that dog?

What steps did you take to ensure your dog was healthy?

Did you do any of the common to your breed genetic testing? (i.e. hip dysplasia, just to name one of many available)

Has your vet been able to help you in the breeding process? If not, what other options have you looked into for help?

If you have used the Invisible Fence for your pets please share your experience.
Is it worth the $$?
How much did it run you?
Would you recommend the one's you can install yourself?
Thank you!

I haven't had a cat in years when I lived at home we had several, but they were indoor/outdoor pets. I want an inside cat that wouldnt beable to go out. I have a two year old and no other pets. I have heard so much about cats being more independent and easier to take care of then a dog. I am a stay at home mom so I am here most of the time(if it matter with a cat) and have a smaller two bedroom house. I want a quiet animal who doesnt make too much of a mess, and that would cuddle at night, and that I could just leave when I go out to the store or to do errands. Does it sound like a cat would fit? Is it difficult to keep a cat inside?

Are there toy poms, fox face, and teddy bear varieties of this breed? I've been told that ours is a toy, and several people have also called him a teddy bear, I can't find much info on these variations.

Two men were on the porch having a glass of tea. One of them looked down at the dog to notice he was licking/cleaning his sack. The man looked over at his buddy and said, "I sure wish I could do that." His buddy looked at him and laughed and replied, "OOOO, you best not, that dog would bite you???!!!!!
