I think that a betta and angelfish are fine together, for starters. Angelfish are not semi-aggressive. They can hold their own against semi-aggressive fish, but I breed and raise them and have never seen them exhibit aggressive behaviour, unless their spawning, and even then they just keep fish out of their general area, they don't attack them.
Bettas can also be quite placid, as long as they aren't kept with other bettas. So regardless of what these folks are saying, you can keep them together, as long as you have enough room.
Anyhoo, how big is your tank? If it's around 30 gallons, you don't have room for any other fish. But if its bigger, you have some decent options to choose from.
How about a school of corydoras?
Or some kribensis cichlids?
Or some ram cichlids?
Or a school of glass catfish?
Those stay at the bottom and will not both or interfere with your angels or betta.
You could also get some gouramis, but keep an eye on the betta and gouramis; they are cousins and may exhibit some territorial behaviour.
If you want more movement / colour, you could get a school of tetras, just make sure they aren't tiny tetras like neons. Rummy nosed tetras, cardinal tetras, lemon tetras, would all be good choices.
You could also add a few more angels; they like to be in groups. Just alot each angelfish about 10 gallons of space.

Angelfish and Bettas should not be kept together. Angelfish will grow much bigger then Bettas and will end up picking on them.
Also, make sure you have enough tank for 2 Angels, they will need a good size tank, I would say 50+ for 2 Angels.
I would say separate the Betta from the Angels. You can easily put any Semi-aggressive fish with the Angels. Bettas are really only good with non-aggressive fish like Tetras. That way the Betta will not have to fight over territory.
Make sure you check your tank size though because it is easy to load up on small fish but you will have a very hard time keeping them alive when they grow to their max size.

i'm so unwell of this betta element...... Betta's could be stored with many fish! purely not one yet another, not with fish that have a bent to nip fins, and not in a a million gallon tank. Angels could be aggresive and could finally initiate figuring out on on the betta. i would not advise even thinking approximately an angel while not having a 20 gallon or better tank. They do improve better and could be greater gentle to water situations then many different fish. the guy who positioned them with zebra danios exchange into fortunate.... zebras will often bypass after sluggish shifting fish with long fins.

First off those two should not be together. Male Betta's can become very aggressive at any moment. Also what size is your fish tank and how big are your angels? Angels are semi aggressive fish so you want to make sure you stay in the semi aggressive family. NO BARBS! If you have a local Pet Smart go there and they can help you with all of your needs.

i have had 3 different bettas and have tried them with numerous with fish. angels.... are a definite no!! never put any semi-aggresive fish in with a betta. a lot of betta aggression comes from being picked on by larger fish, so separate the angels from the betta. also, never put another fish with long fins or tails in with them!! bettas will see them as a threat! the idiots at petsmart told me to try guppies... they lasted for 3 days and ended up in pieces. yes... i returned those pieces to the store. haha. anyhow... i tried snails and shrimp. they got killed too. you need a larger tank, about 50 gallons. you can try snail, crabs, shrimp, or other small, non aggressive, small finned fish. hope this helped!

Gouramis, Tiger Barbs, and most Sharks would be compatible. Speak with a fish specialty store on what they recommend. Don't ask anyone at PetsMart or Petco (the people at those stores usually don't know the correct information). Good luck!
You can also check the compatibility of other fish here: http://www.timstropicals.com/Compatibility/CompatibilitySearch.asp
