can chinchillas eat chocolate?? I really wanna know cause my chinchilla likes human food but I'm not sure if I can give her chocolate..

what I mean by human food is we give her cereal but it is the kind without sugars and candy and crap and we give her plain cookies and tiny bits of bread type things

No! Don't give her chocolate and you should probably cut back on the human food. Human food (especially processed food) is not good for chins and can lead to a shorter life span!

Not unless you want your chinchilla to die. Chinchilla's can survive on pellets and and hay and water. Treats are a human idea, not theirs. Chinchilla's shouldn't eat a lot of things, new research says raisins can cause problems. I give wood chews as treats and occasionally for health problems shredded wheat (no frosting), cheerios or burnt toast. Apple sicks (properly cured) are great all around "treats" my chins love them, there are a lot of healthy options out there.

I would not give my chin chocolate. "Human food" meaning raisins, the occasional peanut, and carrots may be fine, but I'd agree that those are "treats," and not to be confused with regular "chin" food.

Its probably not good for her. Get a chinchilla book. You'll find one in the library or pet store.
