I came home to find our 9 yr old mixed dog had attacked, tortured and killed Spencer, our 11 year old arthritic "gentle giant" who was 3 times bigger than the attack dog? The scene was the most horrible thing we have ever witnessed. These dogs are our babies and we had no idea this would ever happen!! Not only are we grieving and in shock but we are unable to get the image out of our minds of seeing how he suffered and eventually bled to death while we were at a neighbor's. What would cause a dog to attack his 'brother' like this??? (The attack did not stop with Spencer's death as there were huge clumps of his fur ripped out leaving open wounds that did not bleed.) Now in the midst of grieving for our precious baby we are also faced with what to do with the attack dog. We loved him for 9 years but are now unable to even look at him and can't stand the thought of what he has done completely unprovoked. any info or suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Yhank you

I am blind in one eye and have glaucoma in the other. I have the CNIB coming next week as they are concerned for my safety. I have walked into a tree a door more than a couple of times and fell down the stairs a month ago. I have social phobia and the thought of having to use a long cane is really bothering me. Should I get a guide dog? I am very experinced in animals.

I walked into the tree because I look to the ground to see if anything is in my way.

I've looked all over the packet and there's no date or dose recommendation and I can't find the leaflet that comes with it...

I've rung up the vet and they say that a whole tablet is OK for a 2kg chihuahua.. however when I bought from them previously they recommended 1/2 a tablet for a 4kg chihuahua??

I am planning on buying some more on the internet (cheaper than vets) but not sure if it is worth stocking up on it or just buying as and when is necessary? Obviously don't want the tablets expiring if I store them.

I was hoping someone out there will be able to advise me..

thank you :)

i have a 4 months old young puppy. he was a breed from pekingnese and german sherpard dog ( i dont know how they marry but i know i just have it from my neighbour's friend.)
how to keep it free from flea/ticks ? i am not letting him get into my house and i have a very big grassy yard, i dont want him pee or poop in my house.
as i know and listen form other people said tt having grassy yard means luring the ticks. so what kind of prevention i can do on my dog to keep him free from flea attack? esp those big sucking blood fleas?
is shampoo enough? tick powder? i dont want to spend my time picking his tick or let those fleas entering my pouch or living room. please advise

We purchased the 40-gallon tank with all the guppies included. During the 1-hour or more transfer from tank to tank, we didn't lose ONE guppy, so now we have probably 30 or so adults/teenagers/babies. Including 5 or more pregnant females. I remember the guy I purchased them from said there was a way to change the water temp or something so they slowed or even stopped breeding. Is there truly a way?

Keep in mind that dogs are domesticated wild animals, and in the wild they would eat their entire prey, not just the meat, but also the organs and bones and stuff too. So what would be the best healthiest dog food?

I have two 6 week old pups. I am trying to crate train them, at night when i go to bed I put them in both in, with some toys and paper incase they need to pee or poop. They wake up every 3 hours crying and yapping unitil i (almost crying from lack of sleep) let them out for maybe 10 mins... then they will go back in. How can I solve this.... I am SOOOO TIRED!!! Thanks!

My boyfriends cat is about 16. She's was sick really bad with diarrhea for a couple of months and then we brought her to the Vet where they put her on a special diet. She was doing so much better. She loved the food and would be so excited when you feed her. Then my boyfriends Dad got sick and passed away, and ever since then she's been sick again, but this time, she just doesn't want to eat as much. She nibbles at the food, and now she is really weak. I'm really scared she's not going to recover this time and I can't see my boyfriend go through another major loss. I was hoping someone could tell me what to do.

I have to add another note. I have a Chihuahua and we rescued a kitten together. When I first moved in with my Chihuahua, his cat was not happy but soon adapted and no longer had a problem with her. But when we rescued the kitten at 3 weeks that's just about when she started to get sick. We've had the kitten for 7 months now, so we can't get rid of him now. What should I do?

As per my other question about my ill pleco. When I had a fish tank in the UK the shop there advised to add aqauarium salt when I introduced new fish. I now live in Turkey and they don't sell aqauarium salt here, is there an alternative?

At random times when my cat's asleep, he'll start freaking out, like twitching violently, then even jumping up in the air while completely spazzing out, throwing his head around, fur bristling, then runs like hell out of the room. Why does he do this?

My daughter is 12, and suffers from rhuematoid arthritis, and wants a puppy. She wants a TINY puppy she can keep with her at all times. I call them pocket puppies. She is very responsible, and would spoil this dog beyond belief, but I do not know how to find what I am looking for. We want one tiny....even as an adult, no bigger than a normal puppy. Not a thousand dollar dog either!!! As an adult, no bigger than 4 to 5 lbs. Any ideas?

Her adult fang is literally right next to her baby tooth and the gum is swollen right in that area. Will her baby tooth eventually fall out (hopefully soon) or do I need to take her to the vet to get it pulled?
