Try putting a little cayenne pepper in the soil. Dogs don't seem to like the smell, and won't pee or dig there.

I take it this is a male. He is marking the plants as he would a tree. There are products available to deter this in dogs. They will be available at petco, petsmart or any good pet supply store. They really work well as a training aid. you still need to put him out if you see him attempt to mark. good luck

I Saw this in a movie...
go outside..then take the plant that it likes outside so it just does its thing there!!!

One of my male chihuahuas does the same thing! I guess they figure if it's okay outside.........
My vet suggested the pepper also. It's working so far.

i had this problem with one of my male puppies. what i did was showed him bitter apple spray (he hates the stuff) and i brought it out when he was lifting his leg

he'll get cold and probably learn...
if not just cut his pecker off!
