Actually, since all the hype about dogs dying from Greenies- the company that made them was bought out by Purina (or Pedigree) and they have changed the formula of Greenies to be 100% digestible.
Any chew is safe or dangerous based on how well the owners watch them and learn what their chewing habits are. If you know your dog swallows big chunks of anything- they shouldn't have chewies of any kind.
