comming from a dog groomers point of view....you can bathe him once a week if you use a very mild shampoo but only if he is dirty. Bathing too much does dry out the skin. But each time you bathe him make sure you brush him thoroughly after otherwise he will become one giant mattball. Puppy hair usually gets lots and lots of tangles especially after a bath. Take him to a professionl groomer as early as possible because cockapoos can have a lot of hair and take a lot of upkeep so get him used to it as early as possible

It is generally recommended that you not bath them more than once a week and you could probably even wait to about once a month or so. I had a dog with bad allergies which required me to bathe him twice a week, but we used special oatmeal shampoos to reduce the itching and another shampoo to keep his skin from drying out. So it is possible that you can bathe them more, but not generally recommended and also not generally desirable (wait until about year 2 and see if you aren't asking the question "how long can I go without bathing my dog before he really starts to stink?").

You shouldn't give your puppy a bath often at all, maybe once a month. Giving your puppy lots of baths will dry out their skin and cause skin irritation.

It's best not to bath any more than necessary, especially in the winter when the air is so dry. If you bath more than every 6 weeks or so you'll be drying out his skin and coat terribly. Make sure you use only dog shampoo and rinse very thoroughly when you do bath him.

For puppies you should limit to once a month if you need to bath your dog. And when you do i recommend oatmeal/aloe shampoo helps the skin!

First, you should call a groomer and talk with them. Different breeds have different grooming needs and some shouldn't be groomed as frequently as others. Dogs have a natural oil that protects their skin and fur and frequent baths can be damaging, irritation and even cause infection (from the irritation).

If you choose to use a groomer, please be sure that the series of vaccines are completed and the vet says it's OK for public places. It would be a shame if this lil pup got parvo.

A dog that young and small you can get away with just using a wash cloth for now. I wouldn't bathe her too often, the soap my irritate her young skin.

Every 4-6 weeks. If it is neccessary to clean your pup up in between that, use a moisturizing shampoo, or just rinse him/her in the sink or tub and spray on conditioning spray.

the "ideal" would be only when he absolutely needed it...

but realistically...puppy gets into EVERYTHING.

if you use a VERY good quality shampoo formulated for puppies, and rinse VERY well....

you can bath him as often as you feel needed.
