Keep her away from male dogs. That means that you have to take her outside on a leash to go potty or at least supervise her the ENTIRE time she's out there. Fences are not a sure-proof deterrent for males when there's a female in season. Male dogs have been known to leap through glass windows to get to a female that's in heat.

No, there is no 100% sure way since females in heat have been known to get away and males have been known to breed females through fences.
Getting her spayed is not only important to prevent pregnancy but also extremely important for her health. She will live a longer healthier life if spayed.

to spay is not "desexing", if a woman gets a hysterectomy then she's still a woman, all spaying is is a doggy hysterectomy but the she will still be a female and yes spaying your dam (female) is the only sure fire way of keeping her from getting pregnant.

The LEASH is 100% effective as a birth control device if used correctlly (unfortunatally large quantities of people apparently can not use it correctlly) DO NOT allow a ***** in heat outside off leash or in a fenced yard without your two eyes (NOT one eye while you also garden or something) on her at all time. Best idea is two barriers between her and any males (outside wold being treated as hold those males)

Doggie Diapers, NO WAY, the male can pull them off! This only prevents blood on your floor!
Crating, strict supervision, no male contact, not even 5 minutes of play!

If you refuse to spay your dog you need to keep her totally confined for 3 weeks every time she comes into heat. (And that means you don't let her out in the yard by herself either because a male will find his way in.)

I suppose you could ask the male dog to wear a condom.
Good lord.
