If she still refuses then ask her ok then can i get a hamster or what kind of pet would she allow you to have. GOOD LUCK GOD BLESS

You can say that it's not the same animal familly as the black rat ,
and by taking care of it you will need to take care of things.
Too, you can try to prove her that basically a rat = hamster + brain - tail.
and I'm sure your mom have no problem with cute hamsters, so why are there some for the rat ? : Because of the long tail and because the black rat give ilnesses in the past.

I have had pet rats and i have nothing but good to say about them. they are sweet and gentle.and playful.I do caution that because they are curious they can wander away and get into places that you can,t follow.and if you aren't diligent about cage care they stink.so its best not to leave out of the cage unattended. i had a pet ball so they could run around safely.the only down I can think of is that a rats life expectancy is only 3-4 years old.

actual, as a fellow rat proprietor, i imagine so that you could inform her that rats are very sensible and many times affectionate. yet, be study to sparkling the cage muddle a minimum of once a week and scrub the entire ingredient down once a month. I actually have 2 rats and they honestly love their treats. yet you should inform your mom that you'll do all the artwork and take them out once an afternoon a minimum of. BTW- do not feed them cheese-its two times an afternoon, as my sister does to my rats, because it reason major weight problems... my rats kinda appear as if softballs. also, tell your mom that they are quite lovable and also you in reality ought to bathtub them once a month.i wish it truly is sensible :)

I can understand her bring creeped out. Some women panic if a tiny little mouse runs across the floor. And people are conditioned to think of rats as dirty. You have a hard job ahead of you to convince your mom. In all honestly you will have better luck if you ask for a puppy.

research them on the internet to show your mom that you are very serious about them, also try to tell her that you will take full responsibility of it and do whatever you can to take care of it to show her that she wont have to come in contact with it, even try to save up the money to pay for it.

Well you could tell her that you will take care of it yourself. You will pay for it. She will not have to take care of it unless you go to school and it needs to be feed. That is how I got a turtle by saying that. I still have him to!
