For example: I have rescued a small (it looked to be a 4 week old) kitten who must have been thrown out of someones car window. I was driving on the job and saw something very small in the road running across and me and 3 other cars swerved out of the way. So I turned around and stopped and went out in the field because it was a farming community and started looking for this kitten. I didn't know how to catch it because she was so small and frightened so I started meowing like a cat she she came right to me. And I wrapped her up and found her a good home. Has anyone else done a good deed? Best story gets 10 points!

She has the run of the house usually. I just started doing Pilates which requires alot of floor movement with various straps and balls. While I'm doing it, she will not leave me the f** alone. I know she wants to play. Is it wrong to lock her in the laundry room (litterbox is there) for 45 minutes while I exercise? I just feel bad becuz I've never done that before and to do it while she is in heat seems mean...

I have a lovely male kitty that I rescued when he was four years old. That was about a year ago and this little guy loves my italian leather chair. He has put some tiny little holes in the side......just noticed them a few days ago. Declawing him is not an option because both he and my female are indoor/outdoor kitties. (and actually he needs those claws to protect against my rather aloof female ; ) who still hisses at him when they are within a foot of each other) Anyhow, what can I do to keep this kitty from clawing. He knows he's not supposed to do it judging by the way he reacts when he gets caught. Please don't say water gun. I know that would work but kitty is MUCH to sneaky. I'd have to keep a water gun in a holster on my hip at all times to catch him. Imagine this scenario.... see kitty scratching, run for water gun, return to spray kitty, kitty is in next county. HELP???

My dog is constantly swinging around to sniff and lick his butt. This isn't a gag question, this is serious! There is also a smell that comes out of his butt (it's not fart, it's like a musky smell). I know for a fact this is where it is coming from (I tested it, don't ask). Anyways, I'll be sitting on the couch watching t.v., and he'll come and lay down beside the couch, and then all the sudden there is this fishy, musky smell, and he's licking his butt! Next, he starts licking the carpet where he must've smelt it all up with his stinky butt. Is this normal? I've heard of having to get the anal glands squeezed or something, does this have anything to do with it? He's going #2 fine. He is a lab/border collie/pitbull, approx. 10 mos. Neutered, all shots up to date, just stinky bumb. HELP!!!

ok i have a few questions...mostly concerning freshwater community planted aquariums....

1.} how many watts does an 18" fluerescent tubve have?

2.}how many watts should i have on my 29 gallon tank?
-would the 18" tube and a 13w compact fluerescent be good for a planted aquarium with hardy to meadium hardy plants that are medium to low light?

3.}I have 4 guppies, 5 Glolite tetras, 1 snail, 2 shrimp, 1 African dwarf frog and i plan on getting probably 2 Otos....whats a fish that would look pretty going through driftwood and plants and rocks?
-would angelfish not be compatible with the guppies or any of my other fish?

I have 2 dogs, both with seriously bad breath.. They each had a cleaning about 2 months ago, which helped temporarily, but now it's worse than ever. Are there any miracle products that can help? I'm really grossed about both of them!

We have had our cat 'jake' for about 4 years now we got him from an animal shelter refuge place as he was unwanted. Sometimes he;s really friendly and sits on your knee etc other times he just goes off into the spare room and sits on his own in the evening. He sometimes is friendly in the morning when he wants feeding and other times he sniffs he bowl and wanders off and doesn't give a hoot about you. We are loving to him and feed him well want to give him attention but he sometimes does not want to bother with us. Please advise..

She will never be around any other dogs so I don't see any need and I was told that she will never be able to have puppies,at least without complications, due to her small size. What do I do?

My cat was diagnosed with gingivitis 6 months ago and 3 teeth were removed. The vet also scaled and cleaned her teeth. Even if her teeth receive regular cleaning by the vet (e.g. annually) can gingivitis still come back?

My doggie seems like he's been really depressed. He's dropped weight (nearly 20% of his body weight), he's not eating, he has no energy, and he's just not his happy boy self.

We did take him to the vet as he looked really sickly--though blood work we found that everything is working normally and though he has bad teeth, a teeth cleaning revealed nothing of concern. The last thing we can think of is depression. The most major thing that happened was the birth of our son, but that was 16 months ago (and he LOVES the dog--walks him, pets him, etc)...help!
