i am doing a project on animal shelters. i need to know where all the animal shelters on long island are???

My personal favorite is Angel's Gate. They deal with every species of animal you can think of! Not only do they do regular adoptions, but they provide hospice for disabled and terminally ill animals. It's perhaps the most giving and humane shelter that exists, yet the town is trying to shut it down . . . truly terrible.
