My boyfriend and I are considering adding a new little member to our family, but we are not looking forward to the housebreaking and chewing part. Right now we are spoiled b/c we have a VERY well behaved Pit Bull who literally never makes messes or chews anything, she's an angel :o). Don't worry, she's not aggressive and has lots of dog friends of all sizes. So, which one do you think will be better for us? Thanks for the help.

I have a 10 gallon tank with a FILTER, but I know I still have to clean the tank once in awhile, so I was wondering when? Once a month, Once a week or Once a year? I think I know the answer of the question, but you never can be too sure.

What I have been trying to feed him is regular sinking tropical fish pellets, sometimes color enhancing flakes, but im not sure he's eating, any other food that he will eat that you can get from the petstore? would really like him to start eating nicely.

I have 3 Cats Teddy, Chet and Moomoo's. For some odd reson i started to call Teddy (Teddy McFreddy/Freddy Teddy orTeddy Ruxpin/Ruxpin Kitty)
and Chet i call from time to time (Chetwick or Ludwig/Luggie).
Moomoo's is just Moo's, she has no nick name.
So does your cat/dog have a whole lot of silly nick name's too?

My husband and I will be moving into a new home in 2 weeks and taking our 2 kittens with us.Before we do any actual moving,I want to take them over to get them used to the new place however,I will have to lock them up in a room with their food/water bowl and litter box and we will have to hear them "meow" to get out as my cats are not used to be locked up .A option is taking them to a shelter which we called about to have them watched will be a waste of money as we will be moved out within a day.
What could I do to make sure my kittes will be ok while moving.

My husband brought in a stray, she looked fairly young (lost some baby teeth about a month ago) she is absolutely adorable (blk/white phantom of the opera mask thing goin' on).

Anyway, she gets on tables, she messes with our christmas tree, she climbs on our beds and ALWAYS attacks our hands with her claws/teeth. We just tried to clip her nails but it lead to some more scratches for us.

I am trying SO HARD to get used to this cat (never had one before) and she can be nice sometimes, in fact, people that have seen her say she looks so nice & calm (angel in disguise).

We even tried tying her up (via regular collar leash and harness) at night to avoid her from getting on our dinner table or the xmas tree but all she does is get loose.

Any advice? We are at wits end and it seems like such a hassle for some stray cat, I'm really starting to hate cats in general...

It's a bittersweet love but she's going to the shelter VERY soon.
So, what's so great about cats? Why keep them

My little Ebony has a cat-flap to allow her freedom to the outside during the day but I have to keep it taped open as she just will not push it open herself. She is intelligent but for some reason she will just not learn this trick! Any suggestions??

I went to a party and played with a dog. About a week later I found out the dog has parvo but wasn't showing signs yet. I have a new puppy. I am really worried he is going to get it. He has had his 6 and 8 week shots. And is now 12 weeks old.

I got a kitty for my grandma and now he is grown and messing up the furniture. He's an inside cat and i figured it would be ok to have him declawed since he doesnt go outside and has been fixed. We have tried having the vet clip his nails but stewie cant resist scratching up the place. He has scratching posts and other things to claw. So is declawing the best or the worst thing to do?

My middle son really wants a dog. He has lobbied pretty well for it and is actually starting to convince me! Although I'm not a dog person, I can see my son needs a pal. The problem is, no one is at home during the day except our two cats. Is there any breed of dog that will be suited to having only cat-company during the day?

Also, I am concerned about the following obstacles: slobbering, smell, accidents, yapping, etc. Are there any breeds that are good for non-dog people like me but still fun enough for an active boy?

If you say, don't get a dog remember -- I don't have one just for these reasons. However, I am trying to get past these obstacles to make my kid happy. I know a pet is for life, so I want to make a good decision. Any insghts? Your responses are appreciated!!!!

Whenever i lay down, my gsd thinks i'm a female in heat and tries to mate with me. mounts and all that fun stuff (For it), My shepard no longer does it but what could of been some reasons why it tried so often to mate with me? Could it of been how my butt just looked like it needed something in it? Or like how the way i moved?

- Toy Poodle
- Yorkshire Terrier
- Chinese Crested
- Tibetan Terrier
- Birman (I know is a cat but I added on the list just in case if I choose to get a cat too ^ ^; )

please explain to me why you think which one is best or explain how they react with other dogs/people/etc.
If you have one of these pets please tell me your experience with them ^_^

just an adding:
I want to have "2 dogs (prefer small/tiny dogs)" or maybe "1 dog with 1 cat" or "2 dogs with 1 cat" or just 2 dogs".

my miniature pincher keeps acting funny. shes shaking and acts like she`s about ready to collapse. she`ll be trying to walk but will be sliding on the tile. shes never done this before and im worried. im not sure if its cause she`s overweight or if its cause she`s old. she wont lie down either, she sits up and falls over and then trys to sit up again, and keeps doing that. but she`s still eating and drinking. should i put her down? i dont want her to suffer.
