Feeding Ram cichlid?

What I have been trying to feed him is regular sinking tropical fish pellets, sometimes color enhancing flakes, but im not sure he's eating, any other food that he will eat that you can get from the petstore? would really like him to start eating nicely.

Our rams (both Blue and Bolivian) really enjoy frozen brine shrimp and freeze-dried bloodworms as a treat.

You should get live food also and some small little fish
