When my cat plays, he likes to bite your hands. He's not mean but has this habit. Someone told me if they break skin you have to seek medical attention. Is this true?

We have just been accustomed now to make sure no items are left on the floor, We have a one year dog who eats material items, literally. He eats pieces of towels..that we use to dry him up when it is wet outside, he eats the baby's slippers if they drop on the floor, he eats washcloths..we found out the hard way as we were cleaning up his pooh from the backyard shortly after getting him (As we got him at 11months old) we discovered some of our household items in the feces. Any advice or sugggestions about this..any other dog owner experience the same thing. He is a Golden Retriever, I dont know if this has to do with their breed or not.

ive been on many sites and aked this qeastion also spoke to dog trainers etc. but all have given me conflicting advice.
she is a 5 month old lab and i have told to only walk her for 5 mins for every month she is, thats 25 mins a day. the thing is if i want to do any training with her outside, lets say practising recall for 15-20 mins a day that only leaves another 5 mins for her to play. and she has so much energy she could do with a 20 min play and walk to tier her a bit and then some training. but have been advised not to do this as it may damage her joints.
i think she would consentrate a lot more on her training at her class and with me if she could have a good run and play first to tier her a bit. so far we have been sticking to the 5 min per month rule just in case. is there anyone who knows about labs who can give me any serious advice. thanks.

I have a 2 year-old female Bull Mastif and she was spade at 6 onths old. She now has this terrrible habbit of finding bricks or a wall to scratch herself on her back and its become so bad that her skin on her back area as well as the hair is thinning. Yesterday, when i came home from wok I thought she had varnish on her back because we are varnishing at the moment and when I took a closer look i saw the blood dripping of her back so I proceeded to rinse her off with cold water, her back is so sore it broke my heart because she was crying when i put the water on her. What can i do to stop her itchyness, I bought a dip and got an injction but it has not seemed to help, the vet said that it should help as it always helps other animals.\

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Why did my blind, 16-year-old calico cat begin peeing and s******g on the floor six months ago? She has no urinary tract infection, did not do this the first two years she was blind, and uses the litter box in the daytime. She only does this at night and does it near the same place. I've tried everything the vet suggested and nothing helps. Any ideas?

Our baby is due in February and the guest room is begining to convert into a nursery. Our dog who has never pooped in the house before, has now done so twice (in the middle of the night). Not sure if he's upset, marking his territory or what. Most of the new things are second hand, so there is a scent already on it. Some of the other stuff is new. Anyone have a similar experience?

My dog is very hyperactive. We live in an open field-like area, and my dad hasn't put a fence around yet. The other dogs we have seem to be friends with the people around, and they go out of the property only to chase other dogs away. We're thinking about waiting until the fence is ready or making a smaller fence around her doghouse, but I just can't stand to see her all tied up like that. What can I do to make sure she doesn't run around 100 mph once I let her off the chain(we use chains and not leashes 'cause she ripped and teared two pairs already.)?

She is having trouble climbing the few steps that lead into the house, she has to bunny hop at times just to get around as well as she sometimes moans which iI know she is suffering in pain. I give her aspirin to try and sooth her as well as keep her warm, she seems sad, is she too old for surgery ? Should I put her down to end her pain ?

I love some of the mulit tank set ups these pets stores use as displays for plants and fish but they won't sell anything like them, They are very unique and I'd like toknow where I can buy ones like them. My favorite ones are 3-4 tanks that cascade into one another in a open hooded water fall style, like those battery operated water fountians you can by at a variety store. If anyome knows where I can buy ones like that pleae let me know, thanks
