My Persian cat apparently loves to gnaw on the fake leaves of the Christmas tree. She's done it to a Halloween decoration as well which was made from the same stuff and other plastic decorative plants. Why does she do this? It not like it has a taste to it and it looks more like she's brushing her teeth the way she gnaws it. We checked for stuff in her mouth so at least she's not eating it. Help please?

he is a boy, we are the second owner, he still has all his boy stuff intact and he attacks EVERY man who enters our house.

We have been to the vet who basically attributed it to anxiety. We have been to "classes". We are at a loss. This dog does not have much time left in this house (his only saving grace is my daughter...who adores him) until we put him up for adoption to a home with NO MEN.

Any ideas........PLEASE?

And, if he does recognize himself in the mirror, is he "self-aware?"
My dog often looks at himself in my mirrors at home. He has never barked at the mirror.
Please, serious, informed answers only.

My Mom calls it an underbite...
Well, the bottom of her jaw is about an inch more out than the top of it, and the bottom of her teeth some out out of her mouth.
She is a Shih Tzu puppy, 3 months old, is this normal?

I know what it means and I've been hearing how awful it is but what does the law actually say and how does it effect dogs and dog owners?? I'm confused and didn't find anything helpful yet by searching online. Thanks.

My roommate's girlfriend lives with us and she has 8 animal's in our smaller house. Now shes one of those people that gets an animal and gets bored of it after 2 weeks and gets another. So she likes to show dogs at shows, now she keeps these 2 dogs in cages all day except like 2 times a day to go out for a potty break. Her reasoning is that show dogs need this kind of treatment so they'll be good for a show? Is that true?

we got her about a week ago and she is very pregnant... it says your supposed to feed her kitten food throughout her pregnancy and up to 3X more than normal... well i have no idea how much she ate before we got her because she was a stray... shes less than a year old so im worried that shes going to eat her babies or not lick the placenta or whatever off their face so they will suffocate ( I read that they have to do that within the first few minutes ) I doubt that I will be around when she has kittens to watch and help out if needed because I have school and work every day! The thing I read said that the first litter may be confusing for the cat and she may not do the right things resulting in the death of the kittens... What chance do they have at living? how did your cat do at its first litter?? Are most cats natural mothers and know what to do???

Hi, I have a question =) Sorry this is going to be long, I want to give you sufficient information. Whenever I ride my horse and I ask him to jog or lope, he gradually speeds up. I constantly have to half-halt him or he would just keep getting faster. He's an 8 year old Florida Cracker pony gelding.

Here's some info on the situation - This is nothing physical. His tack fits, and he's been examined for physical problems and even had a massage! lol. So you can cross that out, I'm sure he's not hurting.

I think what it might be is communication problems. For awhile I thought I was giving him messages through my body language, without knowing it, to go faster. I really worked on my body position to not give off those messages, and I even had a professional ride him and he still speeds up.

We have a miniature schnauzer that is almost seven years old. Within the past few months he has begun to get us up once or twice a night to go outside to urinate. He acts like 'I gotta go right now'. His daytime habits haven't really changed. He's eating and drinking the same as he always has, but he's driving us crazy with all these sleep interuptions. Is this a behavior problem or health issue?

i have a pug and a terrier mix. both dogs will not eat dog food dry or canned. not even the pouches with gravy added. they will only eat frest liver that i steam. then i cut it up in small pieces for them to eat. our vet this week said that liver is dangerous for dogs and can break down their panchreas. is this true? i am worried as our ogs have been eating liver for a couple of years now. my terrier also enjoys scrambled eggs which i have read is not good as dairy is bad for dogs so we stopped that. my husband and i have tried everything and the dogs will literally go without eating unless they have liver. they also eat dog treats like beggin strips, liver dog crackers and chicken jerky dog treats. regards.

Hello all. Does anyone know a good way, short of scrubbing by hand, to clean intricate plastic aquarium plants. They gather algae after several months, and make the tank look dingy, even if the water is clean. New ones really brighten up the tank, but cost $$$. I have tried everything short of the dishwasher! Thanks!

Occasionally he oozes clear liquid from his right eye, no real pattern or situation that causes it. Our vet said may be an allergy, but of what? We have one other cat, and have moved twice since it started, so, not sure what the deal is. Any ideas?

One of my horses will only be led on his right side. He is also my newest and bigest but still scared of every other horse.
What can I do to teach him to be led on his left side? Also how come he does this. I can't tell you much more because like I said I just got him about 2 weeks ago. He also raises his head when you have him on a lead rope and show him bits. Is this just because he is new or something esle. I also know that he went to the sate championship in Minnieapolos for 4-H. That is all I know about him other then he is scared of our smallest horse which is about 5 or 6 hands smaller than my geld. And that he likes to be scratched on the neck and will move to were he wants to be scratched. Is this just because he is new or other reasons? He is also a draft(probaly Nokier(by his coloring(which is how I know)))/ Quarter Horse... so he is a big boy. And by big I mean REALLY big! So please help me out here! I need to know if I need to start working with him on that.
