Story goes, I want a puppy. I've decided that puppies that are unrelated to notoriously mean dogs do not exist in the state of Florida, so I've got an idea...
Are there any pet rescue/shelter organizations where you could aquire a femal dog of breeding age who is NOT spayed? Yes, I know someone's gonna come out and tell me that back-yard breeding is no good, but my neighbor has this great little unneutered fluffball of a mutt *i think he's got pom in him, but not enough to look it...* and this would be a one time deal. I want a small breed MIX *or purebred works, too, but that would just be icing on the cake* so that I am well assured that I could find homes for any of the puppies I may not want. I may keep them all though, I have a habit of that. Anyways, I want the puppy experience, and I would spay the female once the pups are weened so no unwanted babies.
In short, anyone know of an intact female in the Lake Butler, Fl. area of a small fluffy mix? *like a pom or pap or something*

She still eats her dry food, but this was Ms. Spoiled, who will only eat Elegant Medleys at 75 cents a can. A can in the morning and one at night, and licked the bowl clean. So I tried other canned food and she just walks away from it. Why would she so quickly refuse the canned food? Because she's a cat?

While playing with a toy (a stick thing with feathers at the end) my cat did a sideways leap right into my bench. He hit it pretty hard and right in the shoulder.

But he just got right back up and went after the toy again.

He wouldn't be interested in playing anymore if he had hurt himself, right? Should we take it easy for a little bit?

-Note - he had tons of open space to run and jump, he just kind of jump just and fling himself sideways. Kind of went in totally the wrong direction.-

I'm wondering if my cat is just sick or dieing. She is refusing to eat, but when she does, she eats the dogfood. She's never eaten dogfood before! And she's getting too weak to get upstairs to use her litter box, but she can't hold her bladder anymore, either. She's loosing her fur, and is hiding more than ever. My sister kicked her out of the house (not literally), and now I'm worried she might get run over. I'm so worried! Can anyone tell me what to do? She may not really like me, but I love her to death! She's only 8 years old, but I can't stand the thought for her to die.

My mare is getting better on the ground, but refuses to mive faster than a walk. I've tried everything I can think of, including spurs, a crop, and slapping back and forth with a lead. I know I'm just supposed to get her moving in any direction, but I don't have an arena, just my backyard. Therefore, she will practically back herself close to the barn and refuse to move at all. At this point I can't make her do anything other than lateral bending unless I get off and lead her. I know I need to gain her respect, but that would be easier if I could first solve this problem. Thanks for any help at all!!!

I have a hamster and he's losing hair, pink, and dry-skinned. Should I get another hamster when he dies? I'm not sure exactly how old he is, but I have had him for almost 2 years.

It just started today, but her right hind leg will limp sometimes and she's running sort of funny (like her right hind leg is somehow bothering her). She does NOT seem to be in pain when I press it or massage the area, but she seems reluctant to walk on the aforementioned leg. She picks it up in the air and just keeps it there so she walks on 3 legs instead of 4. Could it be hip dysplasia? She's a 3-year-old Miniature Pinscher and I hear that they are very prone to stuff like hip problems.

I've already checked for something that might be stuck in her paw and that doesn't seem to be the case.

The vet said that it would be really soon. All she ever does is lay around. Will there be any signs that its gonna be soon like a few days beforehand or a few hours beforehand or will she just go off and do it when shes ready without showing us any signs?

I am very close to the horse that I ride for my lessons every week. After my lessons, and after I have taken care of her and put her back in her stall, I hang out with her in her stall for a while before I leave. During this time, she will use me as a rubbing post, which I am fine with, but sometimes she will push against me and almost knock me over. I know that she is just playing with me, but do you think that I should be assertive and not let her do that? I don't want her to think she can push me around, but I also want her to be able to play with me.
Any thoughts are appreciated... Thanks!

his 3.5 months old and has all his current shots (corona, parvo..etc)..so, I don't understand the reasons why he would have diahrrea for 2 days now. He does not vomit though, nor looses his appetite. The vet gave him some tablets yesterday so that the diahrrea would stop, and my pup received a second deworming yesterday as well. He went through the "ear crop" surgery yesterday though, so i'm not sure if it has something to do with it. Today I fed him cooked rice, eggs, and chicken; plus, royal canin dry food and Hills Science diet canned food as well. I would really appreciate it if you guys have any advice or recommendations on what to feed him, or do before I can take him to the vet again (in case the diahrrea doesn't stop with the medication).
