I have a 30 gallon freshwater tank with 3 angelfish, 1 blue gourami, and a silver dollar.

The silver dollar is being treated with melafix for fin rot, using the prescribed dosage. Today was the fourth day of a seven-day treatment.

Ammonia and nitrites are testing fine, but the pH is between 8.0 and 8.5 today thought it was only at 7.0 yesterday. What's going on? And how do I fix it? Help!

This is a new established tank...sort of. My friend is moving out of state, so I adopted his tank. We moved it from his house to mine on Wednesday, and transferred about 1/3 of the old water. I'm using Cycle to help establish the tank. The fish are already stressed from the move (not eating, silver dollar developed fin rot) -- and this pH spike isn't helping. They seem very agitated. Help!

Someone mentioned about the white feathering on the clydes.... I didn't even consider this to be a problem but now I can see how it can be. I love leg action though... had a morgan at one point and he had great action... real flashy and I like flashy... so is there another draft that would be good??

Every night before I go to bed I can hear my kitten running through the house whispering "Kill the Dog, Kill the Dog". One time when we had company over he yelled, "I must kill the Infidel!" What is wrong with him? Is my dog in danger?

Last year I made a handsome amount of money betting on them. They're such powerful and graceful creatures.

This has been slowly happening for the past 3 or 4 days. She is vomiting brownish liquid - sometimes a little foamy. When she got up to walk this morning she almost fell down like she has lost her coordination or has no strenght. I finally gave her some Pepto Bismol and she has a temp of 100.6 which is pretty low. Does it sound like she has been poisioned or just a some other kind of sickness going on? She is up to date on shots and heartworm negative- and on heartworm preventative. I used to work for a vet about 10 years ago so I usually know what to do when she gets a little sick but this time she has me worried and I need some help. So far- the pepto bismol has helped her and she has drank some water - but only a little bit. If she continues to get worse I will take her to the vet TODAY--SO please no hateful answers accussing me of being cheap and uncaring ---which is the response some people get when they ask for help with dog issues.

My cat had an antiobiotic injection 3 weeks ago and ever since has had a limp. I didn't think anything of it at first, but it's actually been getting worse instead of better.
I am currently residing in INdia and the it was the assistant who administered the shot, not teh vet himself. (the vet is good and took me forever to find!)....
my question is 1) Will he get better on his own?
2) has anyone else delt with anything like this?
3)what is teh cause ?

Why do people paste whole web pages as their answer? It takes up alot of space. Why not just paste the URL and let the asker go to the site. Does this annoy anyone else?

My cat has just been diagnosed with an absess in his mouth.
He has just recently commenced antibiotics but for the past two days he just lies down and sleeps and has gone off eating and drinking. Can absesses make cats this ill and why?
He was given 10 antibiotic tablets and only taken three so far.
How long could it be until he shows some signs of getting better?
Thanks. He is only very young.

Been using tick wash, frontline spray, the dogs also had a tick shot from the vet (supposed to last a month but only lasted a week), and have spread lime in my yard (this kills ticks but they came back only after a few days). Anyone got any other ideas?

Corn snakes are garbage.
I must say I have been bitten 5 times by my 3 corn snakes (total) but not 1 TIME by my ball python. Coincidence ???? i dont think so, IF you read studies on temperment, by FAR balls are much more dormant than corns. this is just my opinion. Whats urs ? Dont act stupid or start insulting I Will remove your post, so act mature, and keep it clean, I WANT FACTS

guys, my partner wants a cat sooo bad, he's started dreaming about it. I was thinking of getting him one, bt we live in a flat on the third floor, which would mean the poor kitty would never see the light of day...i would probably get a common moggie from the rescue centre, so it would be a 'normal' breed (not indoor)
is that cruel or should i get an i- Cat instead?

I think I may be killing him slowly. Since I have been treating my fantails for fin rot and using ammo lock he has been really still. He barely ever moves and I never see him eat anything. I read somewhere that invertebrates can't withstand fish medications. Is this true? If so what can I do with Him? I don't want him to die like his brother :\ (he died last week)

also one of my fantails had red gills and the left gill started to go brown, now it's black and it's spreading all along both sides of her body, also the tips of her fins are black. Is she dying too? I asked at the pet store and they didn't know what it was. She was bright orange when I got her under 6 weeks ago.

Any help v appreciated. Thanks
