The Kennel Club site has a lot of information (including where not to buy a dog) & it also has a Puppy Register:
http://www.thekennelclub.org.uk/item/436

Another place to try is the Champdogs site - it lists breeders by location.
http://www.champdogs.co.uk/guided/all_west-highland-white-terrier.html

I'd also try ePupz - you have to register to get the contact details but it is searchable by both breed, breeder & location. Once you've registered there's also a facility to get ePupz to email you when an advert is placed that matches your wants.
http://www.epupz.co.uk/search/puppies_for_sale.asp?area=all&st=1&breed=West+Highland+Terrier

If you have no luck on these sites, then I'd also suggest having a look on the preloved.co.uk, findit.co.uk & adtrader.co.uk websites.

And if you want to rescue one, you could try here:
http://www.westierescuescheme.org.uk/
or here - (please click on this as it warns about a breeder in Wales):
http://www.westierehoming.me.uk/

Hope that this helps

I'd recommend going to www.epupz.co.uk as it is free and you can choose the type of dog your after and the area your looking in. Its a free search aswell. Another option is www.champdogs.co.uk. Its a site of dog breeders in the uk. If you go to the guided search and go to terriers/west highland white..you will be able to find a breeder close to you. Good luck

From a rescue centre-search for those specialising in the breed. But if you want a puppy I recommend waiting til the spring, more reputable breeders don't have litters in the winter season. And think-so much easier house-training a dog when it's not cold and raining outside!

There are many very badly bred WHWT around. Make sure you do your research & only buy from a reputable breeder - use the KC site or one of the many WHWT Breed Clubs, as previously suggested. Always see the mother with the puppies & never, ever buy from a pet shop or pet supermarket.
