Cats do not hibernate so you wont be able to teach it. If you don't want to buy food, I suggest you find the cat a new home.

thats disgusting. i hav two cats and love them cuddling up to me over the winter months. i advice u to take it to the rscpa....u obviously dont want to take care of it...if u don't even have enough money to feed them ( evn though u only need a few pence to feed it evryday) get it a new loving home. I just don't like the thought of u or anybody forcing their cat to sleep and getting so agitated that u do something awful which im not even going to mention...there are too many stories about the world about abandoned cats and cats found soaking in oil and things >>>>>.<<<<<

Take cat to humane center and drop off with them. If you do not want the responsibility of feeding a cat over the winter, you should not have a cat.

I can see from your q & a that you think you're being funny by asking stupid cat questions. You also seem to have trouble deciding whether you're a man or a woman.
Why not treat yourself to some professional help for Christmas?

Well, you will be left with a cat, but don't expect it to be the living kind!

Good luck with that.
Perhaps consider adopting a bear.
