Cat-problems with injection -limping?

My cat had an antiobiotic injection 3 weeks ago and ever since has had a limp. I didn't think anything of it at first, but it's actually been getting worse instead of better.
I am currently residing in INdia and the it was the assistant who administered the shot, not teh vet himself. (the vet is good and took me forever to find!)....
my question is 1) Will he get better on his own?
2) has anyone else delt with anything like this?
3)what is teh cause ?

3 weeks has been too long. Take it back to the vet.

call and speak with the veterinary office.
