Well, cats do the things that dogs like the most. They run away. And since most dogs love to chase anything that moves, hence a legacy is born. Actually my dogs and cat get along great. They run and play and yes they play fight. If the pup gets a little carried away, the cat takes care of by popping her and letting her know that Kitty is mean too. lol. Plus some dogs are bred to kill rodents and small animals. Cats fit the bill.

OK, you must understand that nowadays, most cats and dogs do not fight. That is merely just a common assumption. Your goal should be to prove that cats and dogs do not fight as much anymore. Now, some good people to speak with about this would be nearby cat and dog owners, cat and dog breeders, or your local veterinarian.

Your asking us to do your homework for you...
But it most likely has to do with them being enimies in the wild, and for some breeds breeding the wild out hasn't worked in that aspect. Also they are both territorial, and in the wild they would be eating the same stuff. Hope that helps but is still elusive enough to make you go do research on your own ^_^

You're not asking for help, you're asking for other people to do your paper.

Stop fiddling on the net and put your nose to some books.
