The easiest thing is to get the house fumigated.
but there are many products on the market to kill fleas in the home. Go down to your local pet store and ask for an aerosol to spray onto the furniture and carpets.
Citronella is a deterent to then and you can get candle flavoured with citronella oil to burn.

Lemon verbena plant growing in the house is also a deterent to all insects. http://www.mountainvalleygrowers.com/alotriphylla.htm

The only way to get rid of the fleas for good is to bomb your house with flea bombs. You put one can of this stuff in each room of your house and there's a nozzle on the can you push down and it just stays spraying. In the mean time you and your family have to leave the home for 3-4 hrs. Then when you come back in windows will have to be opened and the house will have to be well ventilated. You can buy these at Wal-mart or Dollar general or any place like that.Sorry to tell you your probably going to have to do this more than once. The spray doesn't kill the eggs.Depends on how bad you have them.Oh yeah and the bombs aren't that expensive maybe 6-8 bucks for 4 cans.Good luck!

you need to go to the pet store and but the expensive stuff. Make sure that the kids and husband are not home and that you are leaving for a few hours. Spray the house. Over do it because you dont know where the breeding patches are. Then leave the house for a few hours with the windows open if possible. Do not vaccuum for at least three day. Ya grose but the flees are worse. The adults take a while to kill. I had to do this in my new house because of my dogs. Do Not forget to do your matresses.

Any flea spray or flea bomb can get rid of them, but you MUST do it about 3 times, 7-10 days apart. Reason for this is that the spray will kill adult fleas but not the larvae (flea eggs). They hatch in a week, then immediately start breeding again. If you don't catch them in no time you'll be covered up again. So by doing it 2 or three times in a row you should effectively irradicate them all.
Also if you have a house that is up off the ground, you need to spray under the house also. Plus do the yard around your house with a spray or granules that inhibit growth or hatching of flea eggs. A good one I found is by spectracide called Triazicide. You can read a review about it here. http://www.epinions.com/content_146657480324
Hope this helps.

Ok, get some salt and some borax-can be found in the laundry and cleaning supply aisle. Mop all floors with borax. This will dry out the flees. Wash all bedding in borax laundry detergent. Spread salt in the corners cracks and crevices as this is where flees and their larvae will hide. Also buy some Bengal Flea and Tick Spray and spray the house with it. In high concentrated areas put a glass of water with a light shining on it at night. The light will attract the flees to the water and they will jump in and die. Lastly wash the animals in Dawn Dish Detergent, the concentrated one is best. This will bring the fleas to the surface and kill them. On you garlic is best. up your garlic intake using supplements or fresh garlic. menthol works well to. Repels fleas. You could also try Avon's skin so soft.

Spread Borax everywhere. Leave it down at least 24 hours before vacuuming up. Not poisonous to us but it works.

try more raid, try wearing flea collars, call an exterminator, or burn the house to the ground and move to an apartment complex where keeping pets isn't aloud.
