The easiest thing is to get the house fumigated.
but there are many products on the market to kill fleas in the home. Go down to your local pet store and ask for an aerosol to spray onto the furniture and carpets.

Okay, you need to do several things all at once. That is the real key.

Fleas jump on, bite and then jump off. While there may be fleas on your animals at all times, they don't just sit there all day. Keep that in mind:

Get the recommended amount of spray flea bombs from the store. Set them off and leave the house for a day.

At the same time, go to a friend's house or the pet shop and get those animals WASHED. Soap them up all over, the soap...ANY SOAP will kill the fleas. They drown. If it contains a flea med then it may help ward off new fleas for a few days, but if you don't have that its okay.

Now you have killed the indoor fleas and the animal fleas at the same time. So when you go back into your house, they are not hiding in one place or the other.

**When bombing the house, be sure to consider places they may hide. I have upturned couch cushions, opened blankets and cupboards to bomb my parents' house.

Consider less pets. You sound like you may need to have fewer in order to be able to keep this in check more.

They sell flea bombs at vets and places like pet smart. They are wonderful. Just folow the directions carefully, and make sure you don't leave your pets in the house while you're bombing. I used to live down south, where there are lots of fleas, and this always helped for me!

OK HERE is what you can do it may take a little while because if you don't have any you will need to wait till they bloom.Crape Myrtle trees work well. they keep them out of the yard also molth balls work on many bugs including snakes . just put some in the closet area and around the outside of the house but try to put they on the outside of the fence that is if you have a fence so the animal won't try and eat them. good luck.

First get to your vet and get a professional treatment that will last for a month for your animal such as Frontline or Advantage. This will kill all live and eggs on your pet and prevent new ones there. It needs to be repeated monthly.

Next start washing and thoroughly drying everything possible to kill eggs. Ask your vet about any professional grade products he may sell for your home or purchase it online. I like "knockout" It works great & is sold as a fogger, spray and powder.. http://www.petvetdirect.com/home.asp?cid=284

Get you pets to a vet to be treated effectively and safely. Ask the vet what to use in your house and on the furniture. Fleas cause heart worm. OTC stuff is harmful to pets and ineffective.

There is something you might try, a non toxic enzyme cleaner which also (supposedly)works aas an insecticide, though it doesn't work immediately:

Also, you might try mixing eucalyptus oil with water and spraying it everywhere. And you might use eucalyptus soap to repel fleas, though I am less sure about whether it would be strong enough.
