Contact your local zoo, most of them do adoption schemes. You will either be able to sponsor the animal outright for a year, or buy shares in it for a year. Usually they give you free entry tickets, a pic of your animal and a plaque beside its cage. Some zoos even offer an upgrade whereby you can spend a day looking after your animal.

Speak to your nearest zoo that houses them, I'm sure they'll be delighted to have you sponsor a sloth! They may have a price-scale per animal (a tiger would cost more to sponsor than say a small lizard) or they may just accept a reasonable donation.

I believe that certain zoos will allow people to sponsor an animal for a set sum each year. It helps their finances, and encourages people, especially children, to take an interest in animal welfare and endangered species in particular. You usually receive an update and pictures of the animal and can visit it at the zoo.

I suggest that you approach a zoo and ask them if they are willing.
