I always pick human names for my pets, at the moment I have Elsa and Daphne (cats) and have had a Tabitha (cat), Zena, Bod, Linus (Gerbils) and Motorhead (Fish) in the past. I love Daisy and Lara too. You can check pet's names websites, type it into the Yahoo search.
As for taking care of it, cats can be really hard work and lonely if you're out for most of the day or vacation alot. I have 2 and they're great company for each other.
Make sure you have the kitten spayed/neutered and vacinated and preferably microchipped too in case he gets lost.
Have a good feeding area with fresh food and water everyday, and a clean litter box too!
Kittens need lots of love and attention, have fun!
Best look at a kitten owners website for all the little ins and outs of pet ownership, there's SO many, too many to list on Answers! Try www.catslikefelix.co.uk or www.cats.org.uk

it's best to name your kitten after you get to know it. After you have had it for a little bit some name will just click and then the name will reflect how the cat is as well. My kitten had a mushroom on his back when he was little so we named him Boomer. Another cat was a little mean so she was named Sassy! Good Luck! Be patient and get to know your kitten! And remember if you dont want it to attack your hands you must play with toys not hands!

Depending on the kitten's age, you may have to buy special food, such as kitten formula, for her. Assuming she has been weined, she should definiately feed her kitten food for at least the first few months. Avoid giving her cow milk as is too rich and could give her a tummy ache.
As for name, I like giving my cats "people" names such as Max or Stephanie. :)
Good luck with the kitten.

Not to be rude, but you should probably be more concerned with the "how to take care of it" part, than with the name! Please take a couple minutes to read this website and make sure to take your new kitten to a vet for a check up as soon as possible:

And, congradulations, on your new kitty! Cats are awesome.

Depends on what it looks like. You should spend some time with your new kitten, maybe try a few names, and see which one feels right for her personality.

Don't worry, you will know what your new kitten's name should be once you see it...the name will come to you naturally when you see the kitten and when you hold the kitten in your arms.
